I find it so exciting to reveal the full quilt after a fun sew along. It's even more exciting to see what you and everyone else has done, it's  party time!

For me, my Block Wednesday 'A Flower Bouquet' was a much needed breath of spring during the winter as we sewed up beautiful light and airy blocks.

And now it's time to wrap it up with a finish!

I decided to do my border with the grey polka dot and lighter scraps 4-patches. I wanted the border to keep a light feel with the white.

TIP:

Facebook Live

  • When I was taking Photos I did a short Facebook Live in my backyard
  • Do you love quick little live videos? I had fun with it and might do more if you like them, let me know in the comments.

Here is my Fireside chat too!

Setting Thoughts:

  • My goal was to keep the quilt very light in feel.
  • Now that you have your whole quilt together take a photo.
  • Look at your color placements to learn what you like and don't like
  • For mine I love that I put little bits of the light yellow and dark yellow in each block.
  • My goal was for the deep plum fabrics to be a hint and not overwhelming.
  • I love the peach plaid and if I were to make it again I'd add more of it.

This quilt is My dream of sewing a garden during the winter, thank you so much for joining me!

  1. Really enjoyed this quilt-along, not sure why the link turns the photo sideways but just glad I have been able to keep up and get the top finished! Lots of lovely colour ways in the photos!

  2. All the quilts are so beautiful! I haven’t finished mine but can’t wait to get it done. Ladies you all outdid yourselves and the colors/styles are so pretty!

  3. One of favorite memory of Main Street was the annual parade celebrating the harvest time which coordinated with 4H events, since the small town was surrounded by farmland, this was a great social time for everyone. The parade vehicles were always tractors, farm trucks, flatbed trailers used for hauling hay. Beautiful quilts ladies, love the variety of colors!

  4. Toni-
I have had that problem before. If you upload your picture to FB…for example to Pat’s Quilt along FB group page…it reduces the size. After you upload and your picture posts, go back to the post and click on the picture. Hover over the picture or right click on the picture and you’ll have Options where one is to download the picture. Click on that and save it. Then retrieve that version in your post on this page. Hopefully that all made sense.

  5. Every holiday our Main Street in our little town puts up American flags on both sides of the street. I love driving on the street and thinking about our veterans.

  6. I walked home from high school every day, through Main Street. Some days, my friends and I would stop at the drug store for cokes before going home!

  7. I can’t upload the pic, file size it too big and I don’t know how to make it smaller…but Thank you Pat for the fun pattern and the skills I sharpened making this beautiful quilt. This one is for MEEEEEE!! See you on Main Street 😀

  8. Glad the drawing is not until June. I got behind due to new grandson who ended up in a NICU for two weeks due to breathing problems. I Was needed to watch the other two children. In last two days I have used my Go Big and cut all 6 of my blocks. I can now just take them to my camper and sew together. I’m excited about this quilt as I am giving to my sister as a Christmas gift.

  9. What will you use for the back? I’m never sure whether to use a bold print or a pastel print or solid maybe even white.

  10. Pat, i am so excited to sew along with Main st. I cant wait. We had a long main street in my home town of Barnesboro Pa. Two things i loved to go to was the Catholic Church’s festival and The Hope fire company’s fireman’s fair.i also have wonderful memories of Bingo with my Gram. Small t

  11. Pat, This QAL was really a fun stash buster. I pulled together something every week from my stash that worked with that weeks theme. I took some creative liberties and changes the layout since I Loved the medallion that was created with that weeks block. I made some of the blocks more than once so I could get just what I wanted. I chose the title of “In The Garden” just like the song which was one of my Mother and Father’s favorite hymns.

  12. I’m loving this QAL! But then I love all of your QALs! I hope to have mine finished in time!!!! Off to work on it!

  13. Pat keeps her blocks up and always free! You should be able to find it by scrolling to the top and you’ll see Are You Ready For Block #20. It’s just above the title for today’s post.
