Today is National Jelly Roll day!! As quilters we know that means 2.5″ strips rolled into a yummy bundle with loads of possibilities!

What is a Jelly roll?
- 2.5″ x 42″ strips from a fabric collection
- Usually 40 strips. But some have less, so check the description
- And there are ‘skinny’ jelly rolls called Honey Bins where the strips are only 1.5″ wide.
- Most of the time the roll is all from one collection. But there are also solid rolls.
Some are rolls and some are flat folded. It’s GREAT to have those long strips cut and you are ready to go!
I have my Jelly roll quilts first and after that are the FREE patterns from the Fat Quarter Shop with Videos!
Be SURE to see the clever tree skirt at the end!

My friends at the Fat Quarter shop have a wonderful selection and today and Sunday have a large number of the jelly rolls ON SALE!
It’s a perfect time to try one.

I’ve gathered patterns for you that use Jelly rolls. These 2 are fom my book Teach me to Machine Quilt. The blue/white uses the skinny ones. .

I designed my ‘Stitched’ pattern use Jelly rolls.
- Quilt sizes: Wallhanging 43″ x 47″; Double 85″ x 89″; Queen 94″ x 98″; King 94″ x 106″
