I don't know about you, but sew along announcement day is so much fun! If you are new to my projects I host a lot of sew alongs. You can join as many as you like.

FREE Block Wednesday
"Main Street" is going to be an easy breezy summer sew along, you must join me!
I love to have my quilts tell a story. Everyone lives somewhere, and all our towns have a "Main Street". It might be called another name like Center street or 1st street, but everyone knows it's the hub of the community.
Each block will be inspired by something we find or do on Main street, and I can't WAIT to hear your stories!
I'll be creating project pages for all of these.
My Project Details:

- Please NOTE -June 5 NO block due to my travel and to give people time to join in I'll have something else fun that day
- NUMBER - 12 blocks + Setting + Final share

I design, write, create, and sew along with you USING a Bundle of Fabric that is in the supply list below. SCROLL to the PINK download for a printable with photos of the fabric bundle.
My Wednesday sew alongs are a mystery filled with SIMPLE and FUN blocks. I have a title for the block and talk about a topic related to Main Street. The block does not LOOK like what I'm talking about.
I make the block each week using the bundle, I don't know in advance what fabric goes where. My Free Wed sew alongs are not planned out in advance, I do them to be creative and have fun! You can see all the prior ones HERE

I had ordered Winter Wonderland a few months ago. Recently received Witches’ Night Out. Waiting impatiently to crack open the General Store and get started on Main Street. Love seeing all the variations people come up with. Rarin’ to go!!!
Hi Pat, on your lasted fireside chat, you were laying out the main street fabric (General Store) bundle and putting them in groups. can you post a picture of all of the groups. I am a little intimidated by this bundle, so many colors!
Also, if you can, do you have tutorials on how to use the Gemini and how to figure out the patterns in the book. I have been on site but can’t find any. thanks so much if you can help.
Hi Pat… the General Store fat quarter bundle is out of stock right now can the sew along be done with that fabric in the stack bundle which I am guessing is 10×10â squares ?
Also, your new Bonnie Lane is beautiful !
Thanks
I can’t decide which set to order: Cheeky or General Store!! They are both amazing. I would love both, but I do need to be practical. ;-( We have our house for sale and my stash is in storage. So every time I start a new project, I have to get new fabric! I am working on stash #2. If this house doesn’t sell soon, and we get another home, I am going to have a much larger stash.
I was wondering if after getting either set of fat quarters, is it necessary to purchase the yardage that is listed when using General Store? I would imagine so, just wasn’t sure if the yardage from General Store would coordinate with Cheeky. Thanks in advance. I should have figured this out before this Wednesday!! đ
Ordered the fabrics for Witches Night Out and they are yummy. Cant wait! Love all the oranges. Look forward to each and every Fireside Chat also. I have the destiny 2 and learned some features my machine had that I wasnt aware of. Thanks for that accidental wow.
Thanks for letting me join canât wait to get started Patricia
Your fabric line looks gorgeous!!!
Canât wait to get some!!!
Hi Pat, are the blocks all going to be the same size? I would like a little bigger quilt. I need a new one for my bed.âș
I was ready to buy a new sewing machine, so it proved helpful to visit Sewingiscool.com and gain knowledge about the different types of machines, and choose the right one that suits my budget.
We have a great main street with a huge 4th of July parade, but the best thing I have done recently on our main street is meet my classmates for lunch once a month. We had our 50 year class reunion this past summer, and we all agreed that we need to meet for lunch to keep up with each others lives.
I just ordered the fabric from Connecting Threads using your link. I enjoy your sewalongs so much. I have found, though, that I do better if I buy the fabrics that you have suggested. As long as I have been quilting (and as much fabric as I have) you would think I would be good at using fabrics I have on hand, but it just doesnât work that well for me. Lol
Thanks for doing the free sewalongs. You are a sweetheart, as always.

love your mystery quilts … Have done three plus, plus, plus … I am retired AND old … lol Making these quilts keeps my mind working. Right? Right!!
Hi Pat, have just ordered General Store via your links. My first purchase with Fat Quarter Shop as I live in the UK, and my first Sew Along (having watched you first on Youtube). Really looking forward to it!
Thank you Beverly!

Pat, Iâm new and never quilted before what else do I need for the Wed coming up besides the material?
They all sound wonderful. ‘Think I;ll join in on Main Street. thanks for the supply list.
My Main Street fabric came today! I am ready to start this one!Even though my main street was in different places every few years, my home (heart) is Morgantown, WV! I have also reserved the Witch’s Night out! so excited~
I have purchased both books so I am READY!!

Jane there is a kit for Winter wonderland that is not in yet, i’ll tell you when it is. And I’m getting a starter bundle for Witches night out and some yardage suggestions for background
I so look forward to Wednesdays and getting your block delivered!!! The more I make the more I learn…thank you so much Pat!! I love making your blocks.
Are there kits for the winter wonderland and witches night out quilt alongs? It would be fun to have the same fabrics as you!
Would you recommend buying the 5 yards of the backing material now too?
You can print pages via Kindle.. write them to get directions ..if you can’t find them email me at pat@patsloan.com
I am interested in doing the projects in the Celebration the Seasons book. I have a Kindle version purchased through Amazon. Is the any way to get copies of the applique patterns to print? Thanks for any suggestions. While I would like to do the other two quilt alongs purchasing items from USA is just to costly with the $ exchange rateđ
Ruth this is all done online
I would love to be a part of this. let me know when you are meeting,, I would love to come and be a part. Thank you.
I already have the Winter Wonderland book but just ordered the Witches Night Out. It is so cute and maybe I will get them done if someone is pushing me!!! Lol
Joanie the original kit for Witches night out had the book & was something that had to be pre-ordered and I didn’t realize that. So… I’m getting options for fabric .. the fabric used will be available just not in a kit, and I have some other options coming up. The book will not be included in my fabric options
wonderful!
super!!
Yeah!
Iâve never done a Halloween quilt! Canât wait for July! Thank you Pat!!!
wow…I can’t wait – just ordered the General Store FQ bundle and coordinating fabrics and also the Witch’s Night Out…thank you again Pat for all your great designs and ideas. All these projects keep me out of trouble.
I have the perfect bundle for Main Street đ€
There will be a kit for witches night out right? Do you think the book will be part of it or should we buy the book now?
‘
Judith I work with several companies, Connecting Threads is one of them. As long as you use my link I will get credit for anything you purchase. Thank you so much!
hehe.. we have fun Robbie!
yeah Karen!
I’m so happy you are joining me Patricia!
Thank you Mary Jane! They are super fast, love working with them!
Pat, is Connecting threads âyour little businessâ? There is another bundle that I saw with 23 fat quarters. I can order some extra yardage, but I want to make sure you it benefits you. I will not order it if it doesnât!! Please let me know. Itâs called Drawing Room.
Judy
Oops! I meant to say “General Store” fabric!
Got my fabric ordered! (I’ve learned to order fast when it’s a Pat Sloan project!) Love the Main Street fabric, and love that you chose Connecting Threads. I have ordered from them several times and have always been well pleased with the quality of the fabric, the price and the fast shipping. Looking forward to starting this new project! Thank you, Pat Sloan – you rock!
