There are so many blessings to be thankful for in 2024. Having more time to spend with family especially my granddaughter after retirement was the highlight of my year. And of course more sewing time! Thanks for all you do to keep us quilters inspired!

  1. I finished several quilts a started several more. I enjoyed two quilt retreats and looking forward to more this year.

  2. In 2024 I fully finished my first quilt Boho Heart by Jen Kingwell and gifted it to my daughter for her birthday. Now I have the bug and have so many more projects I would love to make.

  3. I’m very thankful for all the quilting techniques I have learned from getting involved in this quilting community. I have 4 quilt tops I started in 2024 and I’m determined to get them done. My sewing space was relocated among the other rooms during the holidays, so I haven’t been able to do much. Now it’s finally back to normal and I’m determined to get those UFOs worked on.

  4. In 2024, I finished a 2021 UFO and I gave it in May. My first quilt living home (I began quilting in 2017). And a made one in November for a new born baby. It was given for the New Year. I also contacted a niece so she can choose a quilt among the five I still have. For me, it’s a good start, I can make room for the 2025 quilt I will be making.

  5. In 2024 I had the honour of making 3 different memory quilts for acquaintances who had lost their spouse. I used the clothes of the person who had passed away to make the quilts. It was my pleasure to make the quilts, and I hope it gave them some comfort to hold a quilt made from clothes that their loved one, once wore.

  6. In 2024 my six children and my 9 grandchildren all received at least one quilt. 2025 I will focus on QOV for the service men and women in my church.

  7. 2024 wasn’t a good year for me but I made it through and looking forward to a great 2025. I would love to win this it reminds me of hope and a new beginning. I had another rare cancer and lost my eye and the thought of not being able to sew kills me but I will be able to just take time and learning a new norm.
This kit is beautiful and looks like that new norm. Have a great 2025 hope I win

  8. 2024 was a very busy year. I became a grandparent raising grandkids – 2 sweet girls aged 6 and 2 which slowed down my quilting considerably. But somehow I still managed to complete a ton of FQS Quilts, quilt alongs and mystery quilts. I also started and completed my first ever scrappy quilt. Such fun. I would really really love to win the Flower Shop Kit.

  9. In 2024 my husband got very sick with Lyme disease and was hospitalized for over a week. It was a long Summer, but all ended well. He is doing great now!
We were able to spend Christmas with our Sons and their families, great time!
I am very blessed to have a healthy family!
Thanks for all your videos and helpful hints! I too am downsizing , what fun!!

  10. 2024 will be remembered by me as the year that I started quilting. I completed one lap quilt and worked on a twin size quilt. I am looking forward to making “Grandma’s Kitchen!

  11. 2024 has been a year of POSITIVITY in my quilting journey!
The encouragement & incentive from your you tube channel
has been a great boost in helping to set goals and planning on completing
    projects and objectives.
I love quilting ! Quilting has become a rewarding creative part of my life.
Thank you for sharing yourself, encouragement & quilting life ❤️

  12. I am not much of a traveler but in 2024 I thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful trip to Wrightsville Beach, NC.

  13. 2024 was kind of a tough year for me, but one really great thing that happened was the Total Solar Eclipse on April 8, 2024 directly over our house in North Texas. Both of my sons came to our home, and we bought eclipse glasses that we shared. My husband got some really good pictures too. It was a really exciting experience, especially being able to share it with my family, and neighbors.

  14. I loved 2024 because it has been my most productive year for quilting. The time spent working on these projects helped put worries and stress aside for a short while to recharge.

  15. I am moving so my goal is to organize my much smaller space to make it efficent just like you are doing. I have lots of kid patterned fabric so plan to give to a local quilt guild that do hospital premie blankets and project Linus quilts.
    Wish me luck!

  16. Wonderful 2024 saw the first quilt that I pieced on my own bed !! I’ve done many for gifts in my first 6 years of retirement, but this was the first one I’ve kept. I love it!

  17. In 2024 I finally finished a quilt for my mom. She loved it. She used it and proudly said it was her favorite blanket. It was made up in Kaffe fabric; primarily in red but the backing was Kaffe in a beautiful bright yellow floral. It was my first quilt I made and quilted myself too. I am looking forward to finishing my London Town Sampler.

  18. 2024 has actually been a very good year. I got a lot of quilting done which in 2025 I’ll be finishing them. I’m retired so it’s a good thing.

  19. 2024 was a good, everyone in my family was happy and healthy, a couple of grandkids graduated from high school, and we had a family get together in the summer. The fabric used in the Flower Shop kit is just beautiful.

  20. 2024 was a good year for us. Our daughter’s family (with 4 of my grandchildren) moved back home. I finished a Christmas quilt that I’d started nearly 40 years ago, with blocks that I’d gotten from quilters across the country in a trade. And it was on my bed from Thanksgiving. That was a big accomplishment for me. And I’m so happy with it. It’s not perfect, but it’s done and beautifully festive.

  21. I would like to be entered in the giveaway. One of the highlights of 2024 was piecing and mixture of 3 patterns to make a beautiful purple to lilac baby quilt and then Mom hand quilted it. It was so much fun to quilt and work together. Thanks

  22. 2024 was a hard year with the loss of my mom-in-law but I was gifted from my sister-in-law the elephant quilt (MSQC pattern) that I made for mom and I will forever cherish it. On a lighter note, I am looking forward to 2025’s goal and that is to hand quilt the multiple completed quilt tops that I made in 2024.

  23. Quilting during 2024 was very special since I made a quilt for my daughter and son-in-law who got married in June, and I made a quilt for my first grandchild who was born in September. It was a special year in our family, and I loved making special quilts for those special occasions.

  24. What a wonderful giveaway. Your so generous. The most wonderful thing that happened in 2024 was …my husband and I drove from oregon all the way to new york to visit our daughter we haven’t seen in 15 years. Along our 40 day journey we got to see several states and lots of pretty mountains, rivers and caves. It was a once in a life time trip full of wonderful memories.

  25. Your video today is perfect timing. I retired 5 years ago and have slowing been purging. Now to my sewing room. Too too much stuff in there. I need to make it more efficient so I enjoy spending time in there.

  26. Hello Pat!
I have had a great year with several fun experinences, most of them including music. I went to a Bruce Springsteen concert with my hubby for the first time! (I’m in Sweden) That was amazing!!
I also have sewn my first “oh my stars” wich was fun to make. I now feel I’m ready for something bigger, like the flower shop, it looks lovely.

  27. I got to spend time with my 2 daughters and a house full of fur babies over the holidays. We always enjoy cooking, talking and laughing together.

  28. thank you for the opportunity to reflect on 2024. It was a nice casual, relaxing year. No vacations. Did lots of yard work, planting “more”. Relaxing – just sitting by the pool watching the grandchildren swim and have fun. Learned a lot about decluttering, which will continue this year.
thanks for your video’s and guidance and inspiration. I hope your 2025 year is spectacular!

  29. 2024 was a wonderful year for my and my family, we welcome our second granddaughter, Victoria Grace, she is Jane’s little sister.

  30. 2024 was a wonderful year because I was able to transition to some work from home time. Cutting out 3 hours if driving each day allows for more family and quilting time.

  31. Hard to name just one…. But celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary in June would have to be at the top. Out came the photos and memories. What a fun year of quilting to also become memories!

  32. There are so many blessings to be thankful for in 2024. Having more time to spend with family especially my granddaughter after retirement was the highlight of my year. And of course more sewing time!
Thanks for all you do to keep us quilters inspired!

  33. Hello Quilting world. In 2024 I was able to start to finish two king size quilts for my two grand daughters. Happy New Year to everyone

  34. My favorite thing in 2024 is: I have only been piecing and quilting my quilts on a domestic machine but I have finally purchased a Moxie XL long arm so that I am able to expand my quilting capabilities. It is a learning curve however I am enjoying every single stitch that it does. I can’t wait to see what I accomplish in 2025. Thanks for your inspiring videos. You keep us all motivated.

  35. I am thankful that I was able to retire in October this year to finally pursue my quilting/embroidery addiction. However, one of the 1st things I did after retiring was to fall and break my dominant wrist, and badly sprain the other. For a while there, I understood Pat’s predicament from a few years ago. The hobbies had to be delayed a few months, but I am now starting to ease back into them. Thank you, Pat, for providing the inspiration to get through it!

  36. Well it turned 70 but i am in good health.
I made a double wedding ring quilt . The first one i made was lost in a fire years ago.
I started Grandmas Kitchen when you first put it out and know i think i can finish it this year. I watch your videos everyday. They give me so much insperation.

  37. The best thing about 2024 for me is living next door to my 7 young grandchildren and watching them grow, change and develop. Especially the youngest who is the happiest child.

  38. The best thing in 2024 for me was to get some house renovations completed and to have the entire family here at the holidays. Now I just need to get back into my sewing room and compete some of these ufo’s. Hope 2025 is a happy one for you and Greg.

  39. The best thing about 2024 were the 21 day cruise we went on and the trip to Disney World with my son and his family!

  40. I finished the last of the 3 quilts I was making for each of my grandsons! I made a skateboard quilt for Ollie (3 years old), a soccer quilt for Will (6 years old), and a Pokémon quilt for Tommy (8 years old)! I so loved making these quilts and seeing the joy on their faces when they got them! Now I’m working on a T-shirt quilt for my daughter who has TONS of t-shirts!!! Thanks for your generosity, Pat and Fat Quarter Shop!!

  41. I organized and hosted my first event for a friend, a baby shower. I made her a quilt, an afghan and tissue pack holders as favors. It showed my lazy self what I can accomplish when I set my mind to it.
