There are so many blessings to be thankful for in 2024. Having more time to spend with family especially my granddaughter after retirement was the highlight of my year. And of course more sewing time! Thanks for all you do to keep us quilters inspired!

I was fortunate to visit with my 3 year old great niece three times during 2024. Usually I only get to see my family once a year. This was a real treat to see her grow, play and just spend time with this little adorable bundle of energy!!
I finally conquered Foundation Paper Piecing in 2024. That made my year!
2024! Yea, I have only one block to complete my last quilt for the year as far as Flimsy’s. Today is New Years Day and I am going back today to complete the quilt block and tomorrow I can start on a new quilt. I am one of those quilters that only work on one project at a time (I am hoping to change that this year)
We have had many blessings this year. I finished several quilts and just need to get the bindings put on. Best of all my sister’s scans have all come back clean since her second cancer surgery and treatments last year. I would make the flower quilt for her.
2024 was not going as well for our family as we had hoped. Our oldest son and his wife got a divorce which really devastated their three little ones. I am glad that Granny (that’s me) and Grandpa could provide some stability for them. The best thing that happened to me and DH was our decision to downsize. Our new house is much more manageable, so we have more time to enjoy our grandkids and I even found more time to sew. So, on to a peaceful new year 2025! The quilt kit is lovely and FQS so generous. Thank you for all you do Pat!
The best thing about 2024 was hearing “you’re no longer an oncology patient”! I rediscovered my love of sewing during treatment and picked up quilting and now I’m hooked. No going back. Because of you, Pat, I have a Heart of America Quilt I love. Thanks for being such an inspiration!
2024 came to a wonderful end as I had all my children and grandchildren at my house to Celebrate Christmas with me and my husband. I have been very lucky as every year (so far) has ended this way. I hope it continues as not all live in the same city as us. Happy New Year Pat and I so enjoy your videos and all I have learned from you.
2024 was a good year for me quilting. Finished several tops and bought lots of fabric. Can’t wait for the new year of sew alongs, block of the months, and numerous other quilt projects.
One niece got married in September. One nephew got married in October. And I found a new friend to sew with on a regular basis. I
2024 was a great year for me. I was in charged of making a quilt top for the president of our local guild. She requested a cool Halloween quilt with appliqué cats on it! She loved the quilt and the members of the guild were in awe by it! My heart was overflowing! It was the hardest quilt top I have ever taken on as a beginner quilter!
2024 was a great year for us. The best part was moving closer to our daughter and her family. We were 90 minutes away, now we can walk. Such a blessing ❤️😀
The best thing about 2024 was going to the International Quilt Festival in Houston with my sister!
We went to New York in April. We hit several museums and attended concerts in the evenings. In May, we went to the Dallas area for my granddaughters high school graduation and the other granddaughters dance recital. I went back to visit again in October. Quilting wise,I finished a very old ufo. I also started several other things and finished some of them.
My 2024, I got a new Grandaughter & made her a quilt she makes Grandbaby #4. . I’m now working on the Tula dragonfruit from FQS. I used to work in a flower shop so would love this quilt kit. Pat thanks so much for all you do! It’s bean a great year watching all your videos.
I got to be with my grand daughter for her birthday.
I began following this group in 2024 and have so enjoyed all the videos, Facebook posts and pictures. I’m looking forward to many new projects and plan on doing some QAL this year.
The best thing in 2024 was spending time with my three granddaughters.

I finished the beautiful blue/white:green 2022 block of the month in 2024.
I love it!!
Also finished 4 cross stitch pieces in 2024.
I finished some very old ufos. And travel brought many wonderful memories in 2024.
2024 brought me home to my children and grandchildren. So much joy in 2024!
I finished a quilt that I started in 2005. Yes, that is the date. The receipt was still in the bag. It was huge, fits a California King bed. I was so excited to have it completed. I also made a quilt from my husband’s shirts. That was a smaller quilt but each square makes me think of him wearing that shirt. There were several smaller projects also.
My favorite thing was the birth of our 2nd grandson in August. We were able to be in the room. How glorious!
The best thing about 2024 was a family reunion in May in Gatlinburg, TN
I had many wonderful moments in 2024, but the highlights were finishing 7 quilts, climbing Half Dome in Yosemite, going in a girls trip with my mom to Disney for a week and spending Thanksgiving and Christmas with both my parents and In-laws.
I was able to make and gift my 91 year old Uncle, who is a Korean War veteran, a Quilt of Valor. He was so very touched. It was a special moment.
The most wonderful for the year is my granddaughter got married in September in small group of family and
My very favorite thing for 2024 was seeing a wild black bear in the western Catskill mountains of NY state near the Cannonsville Reservoir. My second has to do with quilting, I won a first place and a specialty ribbon at our local quilt show. Also getting to see 3 of my quilts hang a quilt show in Lebannon, Tennessee as they traveled around the US for a year.
2024: best thing that happened was that my son and his family moved back to home and live seven minutes away. I can s spend lots of time with my three and five year old grandchildren. I made quilts for each of them.
The best but most difficult thing about 2024 was getting a new knee. So, now I’m up and moving and back to making people smile with my quilts.
We moved to Arkansas and reconnected with old friends and made many more. We are now closer to our family in Wisconsin so we can enjoy great summers with our grandkids. I also get to quilt and learn in both states!
I finished my King size quilt for my bed and also quilted it myself. It has taken me three years to finish it and I love it.
The best thing about 2924 was my husband’s Triple Bypass Heart surgery! Let me explain, Rick was in great shape, he is 75, doctor did a CTA rest and found the some blockage in the heart. After the procedure, we were told he had three blocked arteries! Doctor said he was one of the very fit man who just has a heart attack a dies. Without a hear attack, his recovery is going to be speedy! Thankful for the doctors and thanks be to God for a full recovery!
This has been such an exciting year with going along on a tour of duty to the UK. Doing your London Town quilt in England while also being able to see the sights in person will be a memory I will always cherish every time I look at the quilt. Your timing couldn’t have been more perfect. I am on the lookout for another English themed quilt to finish off our time in the UK!
The best thing about 2024 is our son moving back to town after living in other states for the past 9 years. It is wonderful having our children living nearby. Thank you Pat!
We were able to travel and visit family during this past year and had a great time doing that! Already thinking about where to go in this coming year 😂.
A new grandson was born in August.
2024 was a great year. I started working with a trainer to stay strong and have healthy bones. We had no hurricane damage from Milton. I made 19 quilts and improved my longarming.
I am looking forward to challenging myself to make some more complex quilts this year as well as trying more free motion quilting.
The best thing to happen to me in 2024 was getting the results of my husband’s PET Scan after his chemo treatment that he “Beat Cancer” It’s been a tough year and I so lucky that my husband listened to his body and talked to his doctor about his concerns early. Early detection and treatment is crucial.
My first great grandchild was born in October. Despite the fact that he has a congenital heart defect that requires a heart transplant, he is otherwise healthy and growing. We are hopeful and feel blessed that modern medicine can work miracles. He is definitely the best thing about 2024.
The best thing that has happened this year was we getting to spend time with the five grandchildren it’s amazing to see the world through their eyes and watch them grow and try to understand they’re thinking from their perspective. Also getting to spend time with my mom who does has all Alzheimer’s. She does have her good days and then she has her bad days slowly seeing a progression from the beginning of the year to more so at the end of the year, but I cherish each of those memories when we sit and we talk about quilting because that’s one thing she can still remember Getting ready to make her a cardinal quilt that my dad had bought her, but never had a chance to get together before he passed
I retired from teaching in 2024! More time to quilt! I love the Flower Shop pattern!
So many wonderful memories this year! The best thing about 2024 was spending time with family and friends.
In August I decided to get back to walking in the mornings!!! I started walking for 15 minutes and thought I can’t do this!!! My neighbor saw me and asked if she could join me. We now walk almost every morning for an hour!!! Here’s to a Healthy and Blessed New Year!!!
One great thing in 2024 is my son moved home from the mainland and started a career closer ro home. He bought a new house and inspired me to make a housewarming quilt for him…12 rows of houses and trees in the quilt. They love it.
Setting time aside each day to work on projects. Enjoying each grandchild and getting to help each one learn new things.
What a wonderful year for quilting! A new baby came into our family. Double great nephew for me and a great grand for my sister. My sister never made a quilt. So she wanted to make one for the 1st great grand. I stepped in a taught her how from start to finish. What a fun time. We got to spend a lot of time together. Quilt turned out beautiful. She now has the bug. She is ready to make another. I can see another coming in 2025 for herself to keep in her log home. Looking forward to 2025 quilting days.
2024 was a sad year for friends with cancer.. but a good year to share fabric hugs with chemo quilts! Love being able to share with family, friends and friends of family & friends!
Owen is my wonderful! He makes every day wonderful. I got promoted at work and received a bonus. I got all the fabric I need to make the quilt that I thought would be done by now, but at least I am closer to a finish. Happy New Year everyone ✨️ 💛
To me the best of 2024 was that my daughter didn’t have to spend one single day at a hospital. She suffered a lot during the last 15 years but never gave up. She is the bravest woman i know and a wonderful mother for my 3 grandsons. In case I should win the fabrics would be used in a bed quilt for her.
