This is my Cobble Stone block for my Solstice quilt. I am really smitten with how this block can look in multiples
- Side by side Block #4 which is perfect for busting some 2.5″ strips. I give you the layout out that turns every other block so that they alternate directions.
- The Zig Zag VARIATION layout requires you to create 4 different blocks to make the zig zag across your quilt. DOWNLOAD below under the diagram

Thank you so much for this “Challenge” Pat. It was definitely a challenge sorting & then cutting all of my scraps, BUT so worth it. I think this has to be my favorite quilt out of all the quilts I have done 🙂 and it is MINE (LOL). I put a dent in my scraps and with the other challenges you are creating for us, I will have the scraps down to a manageable amount by the time Summer Solstice arrives!!! 🙂

I love the Cobble Stone pattern so much and appreciate you giving us the variation of the block. I will more than likely use that for a quilt top. You are an amazing designer! I’m so happy to have found your site as I’ve grown so much doing the Splendid Sampler, a little burned out with it now, but I’m sure the bug will get me again to complete all of the blocks. So is just the top good for the scrap challenge cause I have a quilt show coming up and I’m busy busy busy. But I would love to get rid of scraps!!!
