My favorite bag is a quilted tote I made with a very old butterick pattern I had. I used sunflower fabric to match the theme of my daughter’s wedding, used it that day and I use it all the time.

  1. The very first bag I made was my favorite. I made for my mom to carry all her crochet supplies for the current project she was working. It was my favorite because she loved and used it and because she was so very proud that I had sewed it.

  2. My favorite craft bag is a beautiful cylinder bag with a gorgeous red oronr fabric that is tall and I can store my crochet or knitting in it!🍄

  3. My favorite bag is one that someone made for me. I have 2 different bags and I think of the people each time I pull them out to use for a project or work on the project.

  4. Love the mesh bags for my UFO’s. Can see the contents inside quickly, when needed.

  5. My favorite bag is a mesh bag with a zipper and the front side is clear. That way you can see what’s inside and it’s strong enough to hold all the supplies you need for that particular project.thank you.

  6. My favorite bags are made from my boys’ old blue jeans!
    They are durable and I can make them any size I need them to be.

  7. anything BOXY. nothing is more irritating than slipping something in the top of a bag, only to find that it doesn’t fit into the bottom!!

  8. Hi Pat! Just watched your video. I totally understand and will wait until you are able to devote the time needed for all you do for us. WE ARE LOYAL!
    My favorite bags are the ones I have made out of feed (livestock) bag. They last for years, fold up really small and are fun to use. Like which bag do I want to use? Goat feed? Feathered friends? Or my favorite Lamb Slam.

  10. Love zippered bags! Easy to access all kinds of goodies, from hand sewing supplies, a notebook with a bunch of colorful pens or snacks to hold you over to your next meal!

  11. My favorite type of bags are quilted with boxed corners and easy handles made from webbing. I teach sewing classes and these are a big hit with both kids and adults. They don’t believe me that turning the project right side out from the lining opening will work out. Always happily surprised 😆
    My thoughts are with you and your family Pat. My sisters and I are going through a similar situation moving our 83 year-old mother out of her long time house and in with my sister. ❤️

  12. My favorite bags are the ones I have made using double zippers. I use them for English paper piecing and embroidery on the go.

  13. I really like the zippered project bags with the clear vinyl, I sometimes need to see items left with the project, too. They take up less space .

  15. I love the Camille Roskelly coin bag. Such pretty fabric. THANK YOU for all you do for The Sloan Zone, even when normal rhythms and schedules are a rarity. The time you’re spending with your mom is of the utmost importance. You are blessed to still have her in your life. Treasure every moment.

  16. i love all kinds of bags; my favourite thing to do when i make a bag is to use a very colourful or unusual patterned fabric for the lining. It acts like a surprise when you look into the bag.

  17. My favorite bag is one made for me years ago by a special family friend. She walked into my workplace with a bag on her shoulder made from Elvis fabric. I noticed it right away and few seconds later realized it was probably for me! I have used it since and it is beginning to show some wear. I may retire it from active duty but will never let go of it.

  19. My favorite bags have been ones I’ve made from vintage linens featuring embroidery. It just makes my heart happy to give those put away items a new life.

  21. I love the mesh bags that FQS puts out. I love the big ones for projects and the little ones for notions. My favorite colors are red and Kimberly’s Turquoise color.

  22. I make project bags with clear vinyl in the front of the bag. I need to see what is inside, otherwise it is forgotten.
    Pat you need to spend as much time as you can with your mother. I have walked that walk with two Aunts and both my parents.
    Remember to also take time for yourself, it can be very difficult time for you.

  23. I use large Ziplock bags mostly. Sometimes if traveling I will use the bags you can purchase at the grocery store. Thinking of you and hope all is going well. thanks for doing this give away.

  24. Pat, your remarks were so heartfelt. Praying your Mom is doing better and home soon. I love any kind of tote bags. Big, small, handmade and others. They are fun to use to carry everything.

  25. My favorite bags are the mesh ones I can put my pattern and the pieces I’ve cut out for it in. I also like the canvas totes I find when I’m traveling.

  27. I have made so many bags out of a variety of fabrics. Love and use them all. But….my favorite for smaller projects are the mesh bags. They as so cheerful and I can easily figure out what is inside by just looking and guessing. LOL

  28. I love the mesh bags and have purchased them for gifts, but I also love to make bags and give them as gifts. take care of yourself, Greg and your Mom. It is a special time.

  29. My favorite bag is one gifted to me by my son and daughter in law. It says “ What about my sewing?” It’s snarky and fun. Perfect for my IPad and a few sewing things.

  33. In life, in being honest, my favorite bags are any offering free chocolate. If, though, I narrowed down favorite bags relating to quilting, well, easy peasey – bags that hold fabric! Carry out and carry on sewing! Cheers!

  35. My favourite bag, that’s a hard one I love them all. Many many years ago my mum made me a very large tote bag which fits all my sewing in to take to classes, I also now have the one she made for herself. These are the best ones.

  37. Pat, family first. Keeping your mom, you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. I love any bag. I have just made my first project bag and love it for my cross stitch.

  38. I use bags all the time I’ve made a dozen and a half and I love them all mostly for carrying all my products that I’m using for my project of the day, when I go to my group of my sewing friends, I have a few of those I’m always going here and there with my projects bags!

  39. My favorite bags are large enough to hold my small purse and Ipad. I like pockets for tissues, a pen and note pad. Also, a nice strap to use over the shoulder.

    through and let you know it can be real hard, but take each day one at a time and it will

  41. It is hard to pick a favorite bag – they are my favorite thing to make! I have some clear project bags from Amazon that I love for my quilting projects. I like the Hemingway Pouch to make – it is just a little different!
