  1. I love all bags zip lock for small pieces are great. I have a mesh bag that’s great for cross stitching. My prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. I do miss you!!

  2. I love my mesh bags but I also love to make patchwork bags in my favorite fabric lines. I can honestly say that I know what you’re going through right now. It’s both rewarding and difficult to care for our aging parents. Both my parents have dementia and have made me their power of attorney. Thank goodness for siblings! My seven brothers have been such a support in caring for them. Lean on your brother if or when you get overwhelmed. Quilting is also a great therapy when life allows. I will pray for you.

  3. My favorite bags are the project bags I make with themed fabric. I make them large, with the clear vinyl so it’s easy to see the project inside. Great for all my artsy projects; crossstitch, knitting or wool appliqué …nice to see the work and how’s its progressing. But I have to say “ditto” to another’s comment “ like the best bag when I have to put everything away!” Means it’s finished !!!

  4. I have been part of the FQS Stitch Quarterly for quite awhile, so I have a niece collection of their mesh project bags. I do like them because they have different designs printed on them, they are room and hold my cross stitch bags perfectly.
Pat, I am so glad you get to spend this time with your Mom. We will be here when you can return to making videos. This is also a great time to really evaluate what you want to make. Thank you for what you do for the quilting community.

  5. You will laugh at my favorite bag. They change from time to time….but my favorite is an insulated bag that is huge. I use it weekly to go to my weekly church quilt session. Eight of us gather to make quilts for various agencies in our community. 1. Community Christmas Project, 2. Hospice; 3. Nursing homes, and 4. Veterans in need in the community. This bag is huge enough to take the quilt top, the cut batting, and the background, plus my case of all my favorites (threads, scissors, pins, clips, tools for my sewing machine upkeep., on and on! ). Pat, I pray that all goes well for you, keep your lovely smile, and face each day with a wing and a prayer….the angel on your shoulder! Hugs to you.

  6. Good morning and lots of prayers and a big hug! My favorite bag is the mesh bags with lots of pockets!!💕

  8. I have all kinds of bags and I really have used tote bags, zippered bags, any kind of bag I can put projects in, but I do love the clear zippered bags the best. Praying for your family and hope all goes well for your mom staying up by you. My heart beats fast too and the dr has me on pills to keep it under 100 bpm. ❤️

  9. I love the mesh bags as well, strong for rulers when needed to take to class or get togethers. Prayers for strength as you go thru this chapter with your family

  11. My favorite bags are the mesh bags. I have quite a collection going on considering I’m in the quarterly cross stitch club with the Fat Quarter Shop. They include a mesh bag with every shipment. They are very roomy and useful for many other things besides cross stitch.

  12. My favorite bag is one I made a dozen years ago. Made with a batik charm pack and some yardage. I was new to the quilting/sewing scene. I was not sure what I had gotten myself into but a friend held my hand during the process. I use that bag every month for my quilt guild meetings.

  13. My favorite bag is a bag I made, Bags by Annie. It’s quilted and has clear vinyl to see in. But I love all bags, don’t know a bag I don’t like. Want to thank you for taking the time with us while your taking care of your mom. I’ve been there and you are doing an amazing job.

  20. Hey Pat,
I’m so glad you got some special time with your mom! Family time is so precious!! My favorite bags are little zipper pouches that I have learned to sew for myself! I have a project bag kit in one of my Sew Sampler boxes I hope to make for myself soon. I have been doing the dreaded purge and rearranging of the craft room. I miss having more sewing time, so I better get back to the purging!

  21. I also love the FQS Mesh bags… they are soft and hold a lot and look wonderful! I’m sending prayers and hugs for you, Pat… I understand what you are going through and it is a tremendous strain on you ( and still trying to keep up with your business, as well!) you take c are of yourself and your Mom and Gregg… we will all be fine until you return😊💕

  22. I love my book bag sold as a fundraiser for our local library. I use it for embroidery projects too. Hugs and prayers for what you and your family are going through. I’ve been there too.

  23. My favorite bag is a large Mondo Bag that I made about 15 years ago. I added a carabiner to hook my keys onto so they don’t get lost in the bottom and I can keep my phone in the interior pocket, but most importantly, it is big enough to hold ALL of my fabric purchases at quilt shows!

  24. I use to make bags, but I haven’t made any for some time now. I like the bags that have zipper closings at the top. Lovely gift. Thanks. Prayers to your mom and your family.

  29. I never really thought about which bags are my favorite. For projects I love the clear through large zippered bags to keep everything together. And for shopping or going to the Farmers market I enjoy the bags that I’ve bought on vacation because they remind me of the time and place where I bought them.

  30. The mesh bags are so pretty! The diagonal plaid is a simple print, but really makes for an attractive bag.
Hope that life settles down for you soon.

  31. My favorite bag is the mesh kind with cross stitch on the mesh. I have stitched the blue with “winter” , the grey with “ scary” and another blue with “stitch”. This helps me identify the project in the bag.
Prayers for you and your family. I enjoy your videos so much. Hope things settle down for you soon and that your mother is doing well.

  32. My favorite bag is the Duffel Bag I made out of Australian fabric. It turned out very easy to make and it is beautiful.

  42. My favorite bag is a large Lands End canvas beach bag that I use for transporting my hand quilting projects when traveling. It’s big enough to use for a large quilt, my hoop, and sewing supplies.
