  1. I like a tote bag that is large enough to hold quilting project and instructios. So I don’t forget what I’m doing or plan!!!

  2. I love the mesh bags from FQS and use them for my cross stitching projects. I want to make quilted bags and have started a few, but not completed any yet.

  3. I love the mesh bags that I get from Fat Quarter Shop. I have a couple that hold my cross stitch projects and some with my quilt blocks that I am working on. I have also used some for vacation holding toiletries and hair care items which makes easy find stuff and grab. Sending prayers to you and your family during this time of reorganization and sending get well wishes to your mom.

  4. My favourite bag is the Everything Bag from MSQC. It is absolutely the best for carrying all those big, ungainly things you need for a sew day or retreat – cutting mats, rulers, pressing pad – and all the little bits in zippered pockets.

  5. I am the BAG QUEEN…So there really is no bag I don’t like. I’ve made several types of bags and totes. I’m really loving the simple zippered bags with vinyl fronts so you can see what’s inside. I’ve bought several online and now have lots of supplies to start making my own. I’m just now 56 but was partly responsible along with my younger sister to care for our parents. I lost both within 3 years of each other. Mom had rapid dementia and needed assisted care then my Dad unexpectedly passed away in my arms. Both were only 67 when they passed away. Then my in-laws needed up basically in the same circumstance. Once again I cared for them (because I was the only one in the family not employed) so Pat you are in my prayers during this era in your journey. It is HARD caring for loved ones but also a Blessing.

  6. Thoughts and prayers for peace and comfort for you and your family. Such upheaval in your already busy life! Be strong and take care. I make project bags using a byAnnie pattern. I always use fabric from my stash so win win.

  7. My cousin, who is just learning to quilt, made me a bag. I take it with me everywhere, just love it!
Many prayers for you and your Mom

  8. My favorite bag is the one I just finished and started using. The pattern is quilt as you go pattern from June Tailor called Alexander using Lori Holt fabrics.
I know what you are going through taking care of your mother. Our are family is also taking care of aging parents.
Prayers to you and your family.

  9. I see some great benefits in the mesh bags, but I don’t have any yet….so my present favorites are lingerie bags which I buy at dollar stores. You can see through them, but are not suitable for needles or unattached pins!.. no system is perfect, lol

  10. Hi Pat,
My Favorite bag is the ones I make for my sisters and friends from the “ By Annie”.
I make the “Easy Does it” bag over and over and they are so loved by all.
I listened to you talk sincerely about what is happening in your life now with your mom living with you. I can tell you Pat that when it’s all said and done…. And you have those beautiful memories of your mom’s last years with you, you will treasure them forever!!!
I wish I could still be taking care of my mom everyday..
    Blessings, Rachel P

  11. My favorite bag is a bag I made with friends. It was challenging and we all worked together through the challenges.
Enjoy the time with your mother and family.

  12. My favorite bag is one I crocheted about 40 years ago. Alas it is too stretched out to use. I guess I will have to make another one.
Thinking of you and your mom. Been there, done that. I know it is hard.

  13. I too love the mesh bags. I used to make my own zip bags with fabric and vinyl but am loving the mesh ones a lot. I am in the stitch club at fat quarter shop and I get a new bag quarterly. Awesome. I keep all my stitching in them but don’t have any go r my sewing🙁. I’d love to win this beautiful turquoise one.
Sorry to hear about your mom. My mother has passed but she had dementia and had been living in full care the last year. It was so hard to reduce her possessions before moving her and finally selling the house. So many memories. Very busy. Lots to do. But, please take time to just sit and relax one on one with her.. you will never get to do that much longer. Be in her frame of mind. So many ways to know the woman we call mom. Make these years the ones where you get to know her. The girl, the women, the mother, and friend I found out as a young woman, she was quite a spitfire. This is the time you become friends, not mom and daughter.
    Love ya. Take care. BREATHE

  14. My favorites are always the newest ones. Especially if they are large enough to hold a whole quilt to take to Show and Tell. Love you, been there done that with the Mom thing, you will never regret this time you have with her.

  15. My favorite bags to make are vinyl zipper project pouches. I am able to store all types of projects in them and it’s easy to see the contents without opening them up. It is good to have you back again. Your mother is so lucky to have you and Gregg as you help her settle into her new home.

  16. I love small bags for notions that I buy from thrift store for a dollar. They are sturdy, colorful, used before as cosmetic bags. I use them for my bloc loc rulers, my EPP projects, my sewline pencils, my small scissors. All the different shapes and colors of the bags, each one of them for a specific use.

  17. My favorite bag to date is the Mondo bag. So versatile for my lifestyle — carrying laundry, groceries, etc. I made this bag with 2 of my quilty friends. Love projects that include friends.

  18. These mesh bags from FQS are also my favorite. I have a variety of sizes (but not the new super big one) and they are all in use. I often think “I should put this project in another bag” just to realize they are all in use already, lol. Wishing you all the best, we will be here when you are ready to come back in a fuller capacity, whatever that ends up being for you.

  19. I like bags of all kinds, tote bags for travel daily and long distance. For my sewing (quilt projects) I like mesh bags or bags with vinyl tops so I can see what is in that bag.

  20. My favorite bag is one I made using black, brown and gold batik fabric. The handles were attached with grommets. It’s roomy and perfect for traveling.

  21. I love project bags. I’ve made most of mine. They have vinyl fronts so I can SEE what is on the inside. They are big enough to have the pattern book inside.
Our best wishes are with you and your family as you maneuver these bumpy roads. You all are doing a great job. You sould be proud.. I know we are.

  22. These are my favorite bags too. So roomy and I can also tell what the project is in it. I keep my hand embroidery projects in them.

  23. I love the mesh bags. I have several from Fat Quarter Shop and I’ve found some other sets that have 3 sizes. They work great to help me organize supplies for a project before it gets started and moved to a bin. But my favorite use is for cross stitch projects. Each project has a bag that accompanies my cross stitch-sewing box so when I switch projects I just have to grab the bag and box and go! My husband had been ill since May and had open heart surgery 8/1 so grab and go has been a blessing.

  24. My favorite bag is one I have made many times for the last 20 years. They are a roomy diaper bag which I have gifted to many new mothers. Great for use with toddlers.

  25. I love all kinds of bags. Totes for books and magazines, mesh bags for my appliqué block projects, and a bag with a sturdy bottom for my card supplies. Thank goodness there are so many options out there. Thanks for the chance to win.

  26. My favorite bag is a pattern from a local quilt shop teacher. The bag is called Birds on a Beach. It uses a quilt as you go technique, at the time I didn’t know anything about quilting. This bag inspired me to make my first quilt. That was the start of my quilting journey.

  27. My favorite bags are little zipper pouches created In the Hoop – complete with quilting. I keep them in my truck for spare change, cords in another, chap stick & little necessities in another. Just handy without having “junk” scattered throughout the truck.

  28. My favorite bags are the Lori Holt bags I made. Sending you hugs as you and your family cope with this season of life!

  29. My current favorite bag is one purchased at the Vatican this spring when we were in Rome! I’m sure it will be replaced by my next favorite bag as we vacation later this year! Wishing you and mom all the best – transitions are hard but fruitful!

  30. Johnstone
My favorite bag is I bought on vacation, at Cape Cod. It made from sail fabric. It lightweight and roomy, great for day flips.

  31. Prayers for you, Greg, your Mom and brother. This is a hard adjustment, but is a blessing. I love the mesh bags! They are useful for so many things!

  32. i love all kind of bags, but have started using the project bags that have handles on them. I keep a project in it that I work on when I go to my weekly quilt group. Helps to keep me organized. I also keep all the large ziploc bags I get from fabric and organize future projects in them. I seem to have more future projects that I can get done in my near lifetime, but it is fun to be able to pick and choose what to work on !

  33. For a lot of my projects I like to us the vinyl bags that bedsheet sets come in. most have zipper closers and I can store all my pieces in them and they wont get lost; and also most have small window pouches where I can write a tag telling me which project is in that bag!
I have a large bag my mom made me out of upholstery material with long handles and snap closer for transporting a project if I’m traveling.

  34. My favorite bags are the ones made with the Lori Holt panels, I just can’t make enough of them, lol
You take care care and Blessings to you and yours sweet lady!

  35. I love the mesh bags from the Fat Quarter shop! They’re large enough to hold project items, small enough to handle easily, and so pretty!

  36. I have not tried a project bag. When working on a project I usually use the a hard plastic box . I carry the box in a tote bag I use for the beach. The boxes are bulky to transport. Maybe now would be a good time to try the project bags.

  37. I love to make my own bags. With so many different color choices in my stash, the possibilities are endless!

  38. My favorite bags are the project bags I ordered online. A woman at our quilt guild told me about them and they are a game changer for me. They are big enough to store a single project without taking up a lot of room.
Thinking of you and your family!

  39. Right now my favorite bag is the ones I’m creating for Christmas gifts for the kids that sit by us at Church. I am using some cute fabrics I know the kids will like. I will fill them with goodies.

  40. My favorite type of bag is a project bag. I recently learned cross stitching and enjoy making these flat bags with zipper and clear plastic front. I select fabrics that complement the project it will hold. I use leftovers to make pincussions and needle books to match for my stitching buddies.
