we would make bar cookies. So good! Chocolate chip for the win!

  7. For years I’ve made ‘cowboy’ cookies when we go camping. In the 70’s we would go camping up north in Michigan. When we arrived, our camping friends would say hi and then ask “did you bring your cookies? I got smart and pack most away for the rest of the weekend, but I’d haul out the tin and give them away. I think of this as I make them for my campfire friends now.

Every year I send a couple of them home with my daughter so she can return them filled with sugar cookies cut into trees, snowflakes, candy canes, Santas and presents. She is truly gifted with decorating them so beautifully I almost can’t bring myself to eat them… almost!
