Our 12th block is the sunshine yellow Marigold!

Some years I don't buy and regret it by August. They are always happy and cheerful even in the heat of the summer.

And this block has me EXCITED! I can see scrap busting a full quilt of these.

My top half is sewn together, woohoo!

  1. Hi Pat, In answer to whether you can use the peach solid with the layer cake Hmmm?? I think it looks more like cheddar on my screen but I think it would really be a great stand out color. Go for it! I wish I had a great pattern for 10″ squares too. I can’t wait to see what one you choose.

  2. Hi Marilyn, thank you for your witness. Pat, it is a beautiful block & isn’t it wonderful how quilt blocks are interpreted by different views. Just as you see a certain flower, another sees a reminder of their faith. Past quilters had memories or present day views sewn into their blocks. All making our hobby interesting.

  3. What a beautiful post, Marilyn. We have been saved for ions—lol, and Praise the Lord, for He is good!!

  4. Good afternoon. The question from last week was Who do you sew with? I sew with my mom and a group of ladies from my church. I love the community and fellowship we have with each other when we get together. I also would like to say thank you for what you are doing. I am disabled and unable to drive so watching live feeds or vlogs is the only way I can participate in something that I love to do. God Bless.

  5. your new flower block reminds me of what Easter is all about. the center block reminds me of the cross Christ died on to forgive my sins. the backgr’ound is butterflies and reminds me of the new life we can have through Christ. Just as a worm changes through cycles and becomes a beautiful butterfly, we can be changed into new creatures.
    2nd Corinthians 5:17 states:
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old is gone,
    the new has come.
    I love your new block.
