This week's topic was a suggestion from my Facebook Group when I do the 'can you guess the name' the day before…

Block #13 is 'Cruising Main Street'
This brought me such FUN memories… From American Graffiti to actually 'cruising the boulevard' with the shipping department in our 'dating years'. I felt like I was IN the movies cruising the drag on Friday or Saturday night… such a fun memory!

Almost every week on Tuesday night i show you something from the block and ask what you think the topic will be. It's really fun because you all come up with so many great topics I could create 20 quilts from them!

Sorry but I can not find the link to share Block 13! Where is it???
Growing up in the car capitol of Michigan, we had many avenues (streets) to cruise and be seen with your hot rods and date. The most popular areas were Telegraph Road, and the infamous Woodward Ave between 8 Mile and Birmingham. To date the month of August is know as the Woodward Dream Cruise usually held around August 15th weekend and hot rod car enthusiasts from all over world attend. This is a big event and cruising down Woodward again with a mix of old and new restored cars still in operation sure is exciting. Something every person should experience.
Fond memories.
In the summer, I used to cruise the coast where the summer college kids liked to hang out. It was fun to see the surf and the strangers in my small Cape Cod town.
