I spotted a jelly roll of Hello Love on SALE, and the whole line is on sale, the colors would be awesome in the full quilt, add in a solid of your favorite, I’d use a light aqua .. The second grouping I like right now is my friend Janet’s Ahoy Me Hearties! The Jelly roll IS ON SALE right now.. pair with a cream or a navy. Use the color match tab to find the right shade!

  1. Pat: I just looked at my emails from you and thought I should delete old ones. We’ve been “going steady” for a year this March. (wink eye). I made the summer solstice into a laptop for my brother in law, a math professor at the University of Washington. I did it in white black and Harvard red (marroon?) . I made one block of it repeated into a table runner for my sister in law. So the patterns are something I have kept bound in my library. For part of the year I have other quilting projects that kept me busy through fall. Spring: here we are again. I’m just getting started on the weekly block that ends in June. I’m going to try to catch up with the group. I Love your facebook page. Beginners questions are just crazy. and I love it when you join in and say “well enough of this, I’m closing off this discussion” Please do that more often. You’ve become so famous, worldwide! When are you coming to Spokane Washington? Thank you for all of your hard work to keep us quilting!!

  2. My favorite water memory is teaching my teenagers and their
Friends to water ski. We live on the Chesapeake bay and near
Ocean City MD Summer is water to me.

  3. Hi Janet!
The quilt layout is published on the last page of each pattern. You are building it as you go. I’m just doing one layout for my free patterns. Is that your question or do you mean something else? hope that helped!

  4. I really love the new block Pat. Thanks so much. It will be a fun block to make in different color & faabrics..
    Cheers,
    maggie

  5. Instead of going down to the NJ shore area from upper NJ via the Garden State Parkway, we traveled by boat. Dad had a spot he’d put the boat in the water, with its cabin and inboard motor, and we’d travel that way. We passed the Newark Bay enroute and tug boats and some high tugboat waves. It took longer, but, we didn’t have to sit in the heavy traffic enroute on the GSP. When we arrived at our destination, we enjoyed the shore area that way, which was just as enjoyable. Memories never forgotten from years past. Along with our family, one of Dad’s friends had a boat and he did same with his boat and family at the same time too.

  6. Every summer meant swimming lessons…sometimes at a pool and sometimes at a local lake. Loved them both and was thrilled when I passed to the next level.

  7. When I think about water and sprinklers I remember taking our very long rubber door runner outside and flipped it to the smooth side to make our own slip n slide water game. We played hours sliding across the grass.

  8. Oh…and I forgot to say I have the fat quarter bundle already for Ahoy Me Maties. LOVE IT!

  9. Block 7 for In the Summertime is so cute! I love water. Ocean, lake, swimming pool, whatever. I used to be a lifeguard, back in the day, and that was fun. It is funny, but when I go to the ocean, I will normally snorkel. Every single time I get stung by jellyfish. Every time. So weird. So those are my most prominent memories of water. Thank you for your blocks, Pat!

  10. I was starting the grandmas kitchen qal and got to block 3 and decided I liked sticky buns so much, grandmas kitchen is now an oven full of sticky buns!
