We all know that EVERY day is a Quilt Day… but…

Today is extra special.. as everyone quilts today!

National Quilting Day sort of started in 1989 when the Kentucky Heritage Quilt Society organized a “Quilter’s Day Out” on the third Saturday of March. Then in 1991, a group called the National Quilting Association (which is no longer around) thought the idea was so great, they decided to make it a National event.

They called it National Quilting Day and the first one was March of 1992. Since we quilters will take ANY reason to celebrate it as gone global and quiltmakers around the world celebrate! Read a bit more at The Quilt Alliance

For some reason, many 3rd Saturday’s in March I’m on the road traveling, one year I was teaching this so THAT was fun!

But it means I can’t zoom zoom at a machine all day, so today, I’m in the car, and I’ll be stitching on SOMETHING and sharing it at my Facebook group! (So Join me for a online Quilt Day of sharing!)

And… i spotted some incredible deals for you today!!
