Block #5 ‘Ice-Cream Love!’ because we all have our favorite flavors.
Do you like softserve better than scoops? Sherbet better than ice-cream? How about a Popsicle at the beach.. oh yes.. it’s Ice-Cream time!
I believe in the power of auditioning before I sew a block.
I saw the 2 pineapples together and thought they would be darling in the center. After I laid these out I found the 2 of them in the middle very distracting!
I switched to one gold in the middle
MUCH better!
One of the results of my fabric placement is that I’m creating a few extra Half square triangle units.
I’m ok with that. I think I’ll do a Bonus table runner with them at the end, there is plenty of fabric.. do you think that would be fun?

The blocks are pretty special too!!
I just love the colours and fabric choices in #8, Sharon’s Ice Cream. My mouth started to water when I saw them. I’m not sure what flavour that would be, but perhaps Marionberry swirled in French Vanilla. Inspired colour choices. I also loved the talking pansies and butterflies in #17, Denise’s “in The Summertime”. Just sweet.
I like soft serve! Even the scoop kind from the freeze I like it to be soft. But lately we’ve been liking the frozen yogurt that you fix yourself! The assortment of goodies to add on top…YUM!
