I love button club month! these treasures are shipped out every other month from the Fat Quarter shop.

It's so much fun to design fun ways to use these and today I'm show you how they look on a block and then share one of my favorite pumpkin runners from a few years ago that I did for the club

It's fun to be creative with a patchwork block. I'm using a recent blocks from my Block Wednesday sew along.

My Daily video today where I chat about the button club

Here are some ideas for a block:

  • Use as a single block decorated hang on the wall or make a bit mug rug
  • Make 4 blocks for a table mat
  • Make 8 blocks 2 x 4 for a table runner.

  1. Wow, I feel like I am slower than dirt growing here as I am still working on the mugs. It is coming to a quilting part here soon though. Then on to the next project of UFO. I am so glad that you are getting so much better with your wrists. Thank you and Gregg for all of the teaching and support. Much Love. Beth

  2. Dear Pat: Yes, “Everything has to be cute!” Love it! My collection of buttons are in my grandmother’s antique, covered chicken dish. My thing for today is to put my pierced earrings back in so the holes don’t close up. I had to take my little hoop earrings out because the puppies were nibbling at them! They are a handful and are 4 months old now. I’m still working on Jelly Snowflake. Slow, but sure! Today I made progress though and I’m sewing the main/large 4 squares to the center pieces. Hoping to have the top done by early next week so I can move on to another great quilt project. I’m so glad to see you are doing so well with your wrists. Thanks for all you and Greg do for us!

  3. I have a tin popcorn container full of buttons that I got from my grandmother when I was a little girl and I am 68 now. Some pretty buttons in there.

  4. Wow Pat, I can see great improvement in your hand & wrist movement since the last time I saw you show us. Awesome stuff, though I know very well how things don’t always seem to change /improve fast enough when we are living it every day. Continued healing wishes from New Zealand

  5. I love buttons as well and have had a button box for years and a bottle full of buttons, but have not used them very much – now I will do so!
