I am excited to get to House 5 of 'Will you be My Neighbor' and I have a few tips for making this block
I have fun with the big green print for Block #5. I could have spent a lot of time fussy cutting to position the fabric 'just so'.. but.. I didn't!

Tip #1, check carefully when doing the chimney section.
- look at the pattern to see how the chimney square is lined up
- fold it back to audition the position.
- After the check… you are cleared to sew!
Second Tip. The bird needs reversed for fusible applique.
- I flipped the bird pattern page to the 'other side' (in my case it has the pattern printed on it as I printed double sided)
- Put the pattern page up against the window like this, or over your lightbox (this is the one I use most of the time, I do like this smaller one that is a pretty reasonable price)
- Trace the pattern. BONUS TIP use a heavier line to see it better.
- Now I'm ready to trace the 'reversed bird image' for my block!
