My favorite ‘kind’ of fabric? Cotton! Good quality cotton. As far as design, color, etc. I like happy colors and designs.
I love Fat Quarter Shop and it so much fun when Pat and FQS do things together or simultaneously. For example, the Quilted Witch. Pat is doing the garden which is fabulous! Pat will take a sew along from FQS and change the fabrics which helps me learn how to do that!

My favorite type of fabric to purchase is the fabric that makes me smile on that day! I often tell my family and friends that when I buy fabric ( or yarn – I also love to crochet), sometimes it’s about the fabric, sometimes about the colors, sometimes about the pattern, and sometimes about the purpose, and most often about the PERSON it will belong to. No matter what, the fabric needs to have a lovely, soft texture so the quilt feels like a piece of home.

Fabrics I gravitate towards are happy medium tones. I am enjoying getting to see different designers and finding the colors that they gravitate towards. Fat quarters are a perfect size to get so you can really get a better view of the designs, colors and tones. Happy anniversary. I purchased tour large bag and you adorable mug and displayed it with my featherweights.

I love low volume prints!I also like diagonal checks, stripes and plaid for binding and backing.
FQS is my go to when my LQS doesn’t have what I need. They fill and ship orders quickly and their customer service is the best!
