  1. Love log cabins, my first large quilt, king size was log cabin. Started the blocks at a sewing retreat in Hale Michigan, from women I did not know. I was in a group on the Internet. I know my DIL was concerned for me. I assured her I could just drive home if I felt uncomfortable or scared. I also had a rotary cutter, haa haa. It was grand …thanks Pat, your a very giving person: sharing time and your talents. Waving to you from Michigan.

  2. Thank you Pat for all that you do and all of your inspiration! You have been huge help to me along my quilting journey. I look forward to your vid3eos every day! See you tomorrow!! Thank again

  3. I try to watch all of your videos, and I am continually amazed at how you choose which fabrics will actually work together. I cannot seem to get that to work with more than 3 or 4. When I add more, as in a scrap quilt, it always looks like a mess to me. I like most scrap quilts that I see, but I cannot, for the life of me, make one that doesn’t look like a train wreck. So I tend to make quilts that only use a couple of colors, although there are several different prints and shades of those colors. Please keep doing what you do so well, and thank you.

  4. I love the courthouse step block! I particularly love the quilt behind you in the video. It is so pretty. I will have to make one now. Thank you for doing what you do. I’m new to quilting and I’m enjoying the challenge.

  5. Question about “Home Is”- For block 12 you said make 2; however, the layout info says make 3 in the positions for block 12. Which is correct? I am loving the quilt. Thanks

  6. I love making CHURN DASH blocks. My Grandma had a butter churn and my brothers sister and I use to take turns turning the handle to make the butter from to fresh cows milk.
The part that was at the end of the part that turned was shaped like the churn dash.

  7. Churn Dash was the very first block I made back in the 70’s when I took my first quilting class. Pieced together, by hand, and using cardboard templates! I was so happy to see this video today! Thanks Pat, for all you do!
