I’m a bit late with this (was away in the city for a while). Yes we do “decorate” our fridges here in Australia. I have seen some absolutely covered. Before I moved to this country town, my partner was always commenting on the ‘crap’ on my fridge. I now have a couple of small grandkid photos & my favourite cat. As I am now 75 I need to keep reminders of appointments etc handy – on the fridge! Love your patterns, video’s, chats & the new hair-style. Really appreciate the free patterns. Quilting is an expensive craft here & don’t have so many fabric choices. Thank you & best wishes…
My fridge has old jokes…I mean really old jokes from 20+ years ago but I looked at them a couple of days ago and they are still funny to me!! I also have pictures of my daughter at various ages from 2 to high school graduation and I think how lucky I am to have this cute and beautiful girl! I also have other “memory” things that give me pleasure so I guess they will have to stay another 20 years!
Pat, this is looking nice! Thank you for sharing your gifts with us. About my fridge front, YES!! it is always filled with meaningful sayings on my magnets, which hold recipes and cheat sheets for the Instant Pot and weekly menus (when I get around to those!! lol) I also have two magnets which are hooks that hold my pot holders to keep ’em handy. I don’t have a large space, so all available space has to work hard… LOL!!! Blessings!
My frig is covered with souvenir magnets. Everyplace I go I get a magnet to remember my trips
Our new fridge is charcoal grey brushed doors and I can’t yet attach anything to it. I don’t want any scratches on the finish….so now its free and clear. Probably the way it will remain.
Magnetic photo of Grandson in his high-school wrestling team pose, a pad of grocery lists, and a magnetic dentist ad to hold notes that we don’t really use for that purpose is on the side. Actually, on the front of the fridge is a small dent near the floor, that saved us hundreds of dollars on the purchase price. My husband’s fingerprints seem to be all over the front door…I can toss the dentist ad…but him,
I adore.
I also have a calendar, the paper kind, yes I need to write things more then just put them in my phone😂. No little ones for artwork anymore and I miss that! Btw, I love your new haircut without bangs. Looks great on you!
I really like your hair that way Pat! Anyway, on our frig is a few family photos and pictures drawn by grandchildren. There is also a school schedule for our 2 in school and any papers from doctor for appt or lab work is hung on clip on the side. Thanks too for explaining your fabric choices and why. Scrappy quilts sound easy but you show us tricks to make it look better. I don’t go for large prints but there are good reasons to add them. I’m glad you told us about auditioning fabrics and making test blocks too!
Love your haircut, you did a great job! On the fridge- nothing on the front, a few small pics/magnets on the side.
My fridge has magnets and lists of the neighbors on it. Also has a pad of paper for the grocery list as things run out
Love Love Love your haircut !!!!
Makes you look so young 🙂 🙂
Thank you for the daily videos
My fridge has my granddaughters picture she drew me. I can’t move it because every time she comes over she looks for it and says “ I drew this for you”. She turns 6 tomorrow.
My husband says magnets keep my frig together. On the side hangs the calendar along with magnets of places we’ve been, Broadway shows I’ve seen. Our bank issues a new magnet every year for the Ravens football team so that is centered. Then I have family Christmas pictures both relatives & friends. Good memories
My favorite baby quilt pattern is called Craftsman. It uses fat quarters and is great for showing off big prints.
My favorite baby quilt was one I made many years ago. (The baby is now in the Coast Guard.) It was a basket pattern with moon and stars fabric for the sashing and border. Wish I had saved a picture.
I don’t have a favorite baby blanket that I like to make. I’ve only made one in my entire life, and I didn’t like the way it turned out. So, I haven’t made one since.
Panel and fabric is my go to for baby quilt s
I have a set of magnetic glass spice jars on the side of my fridge because of a teeny tiny kitchen. And since I love to cook, the fridge front has a clip where I post the recipes I print out and intend to try – a goal of mine. One new recipe each week. I don’t like the clutter on the fridge because the kitchen is already small with space used to the max.
I don’t have a favorite baby quilt, as I pick patterns I have not done before and turn them into a baby quilt. That way I don’t have a ton of time or resources invested and I know if I like it enough to make it into a full size quilt. My fridge a gallery of my pictures of my grandsons!
My fridge is a calendar, a phone book, and a place to display art work from my great-grandchildren. Not much clear space on it.
The best baby quilt pattern I have ever used?…..The “Oh My Stars” pattern by Pat Sloan! It is so fast & easy with 5″ charm squares, gold fabric for stars with a special quilted heart in the middle of the star for baby..perfect!
My fridge is empty of notes, pictures, etc. There is nothing on the fridge because I didn’t want it to be scratched.
This is yet another interesting block. I do think it’s going to become My next full quilt top !
