Block #8 is where we go to fix our hair! They used to be called a 'Beauty Shop', and in the pattern I tell you about one of my fun memories. Now days we have Salons and I love there are still many Barber shops. Some are really a community gathering spot. Do they have a coffee bar in them yet? My one Salon served coffee and in the evening, a glass of wine!

I wanted to show you the control panel for the guide beams (yes 2 ) on my Baby Lock Solaris. You have a lot of controls to use on this one

- 3 color choices for each
- and a set of position controls to get the beam exactly where you want it!
Here are both the beams in action. You can turn one off too!
Learn more and see your baby lock dealer to test this feature, it's amazing!
I need to sew more sashing for this version. Maybe tonight I'll get that done!
General Store Fabrics version:
Take a look at the difference fabric choices of the 2 quilts for today's block. In the General store the fabric choices create a stronger image than the Cheeky does.
Cheeky Fabrics version:
- Cheeky Fat Quarter Bundle – 28 FQs in this bundle
- 1.5 yds of white with little red dots
- 1 yd red dots that is in the FQ bundle is now sold out. So if you want to do similar to me select another red print or just wait until you make a few blocks and decide.
- 2 yds Roses & dots to use as a full border. The quilt layout will not have a solid border but I will put a solid border on this one as I love this dot and rose print! - pick the shade you love. OR wait and see the border option. This fabric will go quickly

Pat, I’m not getting notices of the quilting even though I signed up in the beginning and we are already on block 8?
Block 7 was the layout pattern. go to the top of the page and click on Main Street and it will display all the blocks so far.
Well I was an early bird and used the directions for page 2 before the change but I love the block anyway. This is a super fun sew along
