Block #11 Every town has one, the Fire station! It might be big or small…volunteer or full time jobs, old or brand new buildings.. we all have one! I think everyone has a love of fire trucks too. We have gone to open houses just because we love the trucks and want to learn about them.
THE Pattern DOWNLOAD is at the end of my article HIGHLIGHTED IN PINK, so keep reading
Share your block below in the Gallery and at my Facebook group

This is 'our' fire station! it is just 1 block from my home. Their main route is behind my house. They shop at my grocery store, and they help our community so much. A big Shout out to the Herndon VA station!

General Store Fabrics version:
TRUE CONFESSION: I doubt I will have borders on this by the time we finish.. let me rephrase that.. I KNOW I will not. I've not started them and I have 800 other projects that must be done before my trips start. So later in September I will do my borders.

Cheeky Fabrics version:
- Cheeky Fat Quarter Bundle – 28 FQs in this bundle
- 1.5 yds of white with little red dots
- 1 yd red dots that is in the FQ bundle is now sold out. So if you want to do similar to me select another red print or just wait until you make a few blocks and decide.
- 2 yds to use as a full border. The quilt layout has 2 options .. a solid border and a checkerboard boarder

This was fun ant quick to make. i have had so much fun making this quilt. i am ready for saturday. The fire station was where we spent lots of time as a kid since my dad was a fireman. We would bring him dinner on the days he worked, spend some holidays, it was a great life.
We live 17 miles from the closest fire station here on lake Ontario! Kinda scarry when you think about it, but when ever anyone has needed our guys we coukd depend on them for a speedy response! That’s in the summer. In the winter when we go to Gulf Shores AL the station is only 2 blocks away! Takes a whike to get use to the city noises but again can always depend on our guys. A few years ago on Good Morning America they had a fiermans competition. The guys from Gulf Shores Alabama won! These boys don’t onky fight fires thry have to know water resque as well. Like our guys on Lake Ontario, the Gulf of Mexico can be very dangerous! On the lighter side our fier hiuse in Three Mile Bay, NY is also a social gathering spot! Every Saturday night they have BINGO.
This sew-along is so much fun. The blocks have been great for a newer quilter (me 😁).
Love, love, love Bonnie Lane. Have already finished the table runner and am eagerly waiting for the FQS Glowing Flowers kit. Also have a fat quarter bundle to make a bunch of pillows for my family room. Thank you for the gorgeous fabrics!
This Fire House block was a lot of fun to make.
