Our 13th block is our Yummy Veggie Gardens!

I think this is a perfect bock for this week. We have some smaller pieces and random leftovers that we can sew together to make scrappy blocks.

The alternate Gray Dot holds the block together, I love it!! What a great scrap busting project.

Fabrics I'm Using

  • There are still kits if you love the fabric I'm using. This bundle makes me so happy to be working with it!

  • For this block I used up small scraps for the alternate squares. One block is two random triangles sew together then trimmed. A few others I sew up strips and then cut it to 2.5"
  • All the squares cut with my Gemini Die Cut

** BUY A GEMINI Die Cut machine, I love mine! **

Often when using tools we find ways to make the tool work better for ourselves.  Since the process of pressing out the shapes with the dies, does warp the pliable plastic shim, I looked for another product to use as a shim.

I found that 6 layers of card stock work perfectly! If you missed my demo from Quilt day, you'll see it in the video above
