If you subscribe to my main site articles.. sorry for 2 in a day! This is a crazy week with everything coming out. I even have LOADS MORE to share! BUT.. let’s take a look….

Here is my Scrappy Among the Stars block! I had such fun pairing 2 fabrics for each 4 patch.
I also loaded an updated diagram of block placement for you & a diagram for a 12″

I shared repeat block layouts for this and now I REALLY want to make it in repeat with my Sunday Drive that just arrived in shops! A charm pack + fabric … so let’s see how to try it out

I kind of believe mini charms were invented for auditioning! I can more easily lay a 2.5″ square over fabric and see how it looks. Then I put use them to do this FREE Table runner pattern, or I use them to create 2.5″ scrap quilts which I sew while I’m sewing other things!
Open up the Mini charm and sort into colors to audition….

I got a little giddy over this.. haha! The shipping Dept snapped that photo while I was giggling…
I put the charms on my Sunday drive fabrics... which do you like?
- Batik with Twigs
- Lattice (it comes in navy, green, red and aqua
- Or my Starlight?

Block 2 of the Charity Sew along is out.. see mine and sew along! Get BLOCK 2

Good Morning, Pat! I am here to cast a vote for #1 Batik with Twigs for background Fabric for the cheery additions. 🙂 Have a great day! Cathy vJ in MA
As usual these fabrics are wonderful!!!!! Just love them. Deciding what I will be buying. Waiting to see if maybe you will be doing another sampler quilt with them. Of maybe just design my own. So hard to decide. And of course I really need a whole nother collection of fabric. Right? Thanks for the up date. And tomorrow is Wednesday!!!
Love the auditions…I would go with the lattice if you’re trying to make the Sunday Drive colors pop. However, the starlight might look good for the stars bursting (the popping half square triangles). Although, you might just have to use both the lattice and starlight; I don’t feel like the twigs match the theme. Have fun! Can’t wait to see what you do!
I just love this block. I’ve got to make one. I’m still on the fence about doing this challenge with you – I’ll have to clean up my sewing room so I can get to the machine and the cutting table! I have been doing so much knitting – it’s just piled everywhere. I love the blocks you’ve done so far!
Also going for the aqua lattice — love the way it sets off the other prints
I love love love the aqua lattice!!
Love the Sunday Drive Sunrise Batik Pat. Enjoyed the facebook video. If I had know you were on I would have asked you to show Sunrise batik. By seeing the other fabrics in the line, it helped me better know the size of the prints. Thanks.
Hope the half square triangles are going to take a rest in the next few Solstice blocks otherwise enjoying the mystery blocks
I would do an entire quilt with the Aqua swirly fabric as the background. I LOVE that! However, of the 3 choices you have given us, I would choose the Aqua Lattice.
I love your new fabric line. I especially like the batik with twigs but all are beautiful. I can feel a trip to the fabric store coming on.
Batik with twigs for me!
me too Im for the aqua lattice, I also like the twigs not as much, guess its up to you Pat
Thanks for a great email as usual
Hugs

lattice for sure! LUV this new line.\
I like the twigs. They make the charm squares pop.
I think the aqua lattice but then the twigs looks great too Hmm! Not very helpful really am I LOL
I love the aqua lattice!
Hola Pat Sloan. Sus telas son preciosas, muy bonitas, lindas. Saludos.
Stupid auto correct hospital nick should be hospital Nicu.
Forgot to put in my vote for the background the Aqua lattice speaks to me.
Thanks for updating the layout Pat. I can see why you got giggly Sunday Drive is such a happy fabric line. Can’t wait to see it in stores in Canada. Need to finish up a couple UFOs so I don’t feel as guilty when I purchase it. I too love th block 9 and was thinking it would make a great quilt for the hospital nick, been meaning to make some for them.
GREEN lattice 💚💚💚
I like the lattice. It blends in with the other fabrics and doesn’t take away their beauty.
I like the lattice background best- in aqua.
So hard to choose!! Like my favorite quilt shop owner always says when I ask for her opinion…which one DO you like best!
I like the lattice background; It shows off the other fabrics the best . Personally, I find the starlight too busy and don’t think the twigs do the other fabrics justice.
working on this block with your old line. One for me and one for you. I will have to add other fabrics because I can’t find this line in the stores. I don’t want to post pictures until I have finished the quilt. But I can say that I love how it is turning out. And by the way this will be my first quilt. I am non sewer so there have been some challenges but I won’t give up.
Oh, Pat, your fabric is gorgeous! I like them all my fave combo is #1. But my fave fabric is the starlight! That would make a cool border around the #1 option, wouldn’t it? You are so talented! Thanks for sharing that with all of us!
I like the aqua lattice, it displays your charms better, easy on the eyes
Batik and twigs!
while I like them all of course – I’d kind of like to see it done in the one with the gray twigs background.
