  1. I feel as though I always tend to go the natural route. I have seen quilts with colored threads and think they look amazing, but I’m so hesitant to try;( You know WHAT- I AM GOING TO do a fun colored thread on a quilt I’m doing now! Time to get out of my comfort zone!!I use a lot of Aurifil and Superior.

  2. Love your neutral color police’s of the .aurifill thread. I usualy use black, white, or gray for piecing. But love to try and match for my applique.

  3. Thank you for your giveaways! I tend to piece with whites and grays, but have been known to use bits left on bobbins from other projects! I machine quilt on my domestic machine, and tend to use neutrals, but have been getting more daring and branching out to light blues and soft yellows!

  4. I love all the colors. I use neutrals when quilting and piecing. I use my colors when doing machine embroidery.

  5. I mostly use neutrals but pull out the colors for bag projects. Thank you for your give away opportunities and your daily videos.

  6. My machine, Pfaff, will only use Aurifil thread. I did not know there was a difference in thread until I tried Aurifil Thread and my seams became perfect, didn’t fall apart like the first quilt I made. You can feel the difference when holding it in your hand.

  7. On occasion I will use a color thread but mostly use neutral colors. Always have a supply of white and off white available.

  8. I have a good bit of colors. I have really been trying to use what I have, however, I’m just so picky! lol

  9. I am just dying over the cuteness of the Breakfast Club blocks! You make appliqué seem very doable. Thanks for the giveaway!

  10. I love Aurifil thread but i treat it like gold. So only use it on special quilts and quilts for myself and close family members. I have 3 boxes of Aurifil and i go through the grey, ivory and beige much faster than any of the other colors. I do love using it for quilting. I find it the perfect weight/sheen for that.

  11. Actually I feel I’m still kinda new at quilting. I’ve purchased a couple neutrals of Aurifil and polyester thread for making bags. Coincidentally I was looking at the Pat Sloan assortment at FQS the day this giveaway was announced!

  12. I love bright colors of fabric so my threads are usually pretty neutral so they don’t overwhelm the pretty fabric. I do piece with tan, gray or white as well. That being said, if I can use bright colors in my quilting without taking away from the fabric then I’m all over it!!!

  13. II keep learning more about thread. I always thought thread was thread but the more I watch you and other Utube videos I’m learning that’s not the case. It’s “ sew “ interesting.

  14. Thanks for your infectious attitude and wonderful patterns. I’ve never used aurifil thread and would be ecstatic to try it. Congrats on 10 years

  15. Hi Pat, has it been 10 years already? I enjoy your turorials and started using Auriful threads and I love them! Trying to gather as I go, winning would help!
    Thanks so much!

  16. I love both colors and neutrals! It all depends on the product I am making, who is getting it and if I have enough to finish it. I haven’t tried Aurifil yet as I am currently using gifted threads. It’s on my wish list!

  17. I piece with neutral threads but quilt with colors to match my quilt top fabrics. Aurifil thread is a favorite!
