On a prior video I show you that the block i did is smaller than the letter and I have to compensate on sizes. PLUS my fabric is directional…. so i show you how to deal with that
My CUTTING Measurements for using the 8" block instead of the letter. ALSO watch my video:
- 2 Sides 3.5" x 8.5"
- Top 3.5" x 14.5"
- Bottom 4.5" x 14.5"
- Sew those to the block and it is 14.5" x 15.5"
- For Directional fabric you need a Bag OUTSIDE of 14.5" x 15.5"
- For Directional fabric LINING, cut TWO 14.5" x 15.5"

Good morning Pat, Happy New Year. I’m in love with the Oliso iron, perfect timing I need a new iron! My last finished quilt along was the Christmas tree star blocks with Wendy Shepard book, I just finished my canning jar blocks and I’ll be quilting it and I washed and starched my fabrics to make the 10th anniversary quilt top. I’m making 9 blocks. I’ll post once I get one finished on your Facebook group. Thank you for everything you do, you’ve helped me become a better quilter.
