*** Next Free Block Wednesday ***

Join me on this wonderful trip through childhood. You may be thinking about your own childhood, your children, grandchildren, your nieces/nephews or a wonderful child you know.

Each week will be a theme that we talk about. The block is not pictorial, the theme is to make it more fun. You may decide to make this quilt for a child you know and have their memories stitched in. Or make if of your grown child and document the stories as you go.

Or just sew along and use fabric you own and love!

  1. Hmmm, I’ve had Winter Solstice out recently to figure out where I was up to! Now that you are running it again, it’s time for me to sew along with you.

  2. The Delectable Mountains Book is available new with template on the Quilt in a Day website. She even has a youtube series link to go with it or she sells a DVD. Looks interesting!

  3. Hi Pat,
I did not know about you in 2016, I would love to do the quilt along of the Summer Solstice with you!
It is truly a beautiful quilt!

  4. Hi Pat! I loved seeing your Red Solstice Quilt! I was sewing along back then and made all my blocks in Blue! But, unlike yours, I haven’t put my blocks together! Guess that should be one one of my UFO finishes for 2023! Get it done! I loved making all the blocks!

  5. I would love to do the Solstice quilt. I didn’t join you until 2020 when I found your Stay at Home quilt. I made 3 of them. Thanks for keeping me busy! Merry Christmas to you and Gregg!

  6. Your Solstice quilt is how I found you. Thanks for all your sew-alongs since. Most have been gifted to friends and strangers but Grandma’s Kitchen was done in fallish colours so it comes out to decorate for Thanksgiving. Besides it is impossible to give away my Grandmas.

  7. I began watching you when I believe you just had the Monday fireside chats.. was still working and didn’t watch much tv. I retired and then Covid set in,so now watch you daily, have done several of the sew alongside. Not so many these days, as rheumatoid arthritis has set in with a vengeance. I copy the patterns and have a “few” UFO’s to work on when hands are not stiff.
Thank you for all you do for your watchers and the community. Have a Blessed Christmas, you and Greg.

  8. Made the Solstice Quilt with you first time round….Currently lives on my daughter bed….Had fun making it and she loves it
