  1. The many quilts I have made others have not been wedding quilts, but have included many baby quilts, Halloween quilts, Christmas quilts, and Graduation quilts. This book sounds like fun and since I live in Texas, I’m sure I’ll enjoy the city references! Thanks!

  2. I have not made a quilt as a wedding gift yet. I love sampler quilts, so I would choose one of those to sew and quilt.

  3. I made a king sized quilt. I had a queen size pattern that I adapted to king.. The quilt shop where I bought the fabric was so helpful with yardages. It was in batiks and my daughter had me change out my first choice for something more “manly”.

  4. I have not made a wedding quilt yet,but I do have a couple of patterns in mind on my quilting bucket list!! Storm at Sea hearts is one of them. I committed to reading more last fall and I’m currently on a 253 day reading streak! I’ve read 44 books already since January 1st! I would love to win this book!!

  5. Don’t think that I have made a wedding quilt. I did make a cross-stitch sampler for my cousin when she got married.

  6. I made a signature quilt wall hanging for my daughter when she married 8 years ago. I then used all the left over fabric in a cuddle quilt that matched.

  7. I have made a Christmas tree skirt, matching stockings and a set of ornaments for a present. It was a big hit!

  8. I made a Double Wedding Ring quilt for my Son and his wife for their wedding. I have also made a couple of Signature quilts for guests to sign at the wedding. After 15 years of being well-loved, my Son’s quilt needs a few minor repairs. so glad I saved the scraps in a special box – just in case. I love reading fiction books that have anything about quilts in them.

  9. Pat~I made a Virginia Reel quilt for my oldest daughter’s wedding and a Log Cabin quilt for
my youngest daughter’s wedding. I made others for my grandchildren too.

  10. I have not made a quilt for a wedding gift. One of mt friends. Makes Christmas tree skirts for wedding gifts…and I aspire too that too.

  11. I have made queen size quilts for my children when they got married. For others I have made placemats, table runners and lap quilts.
Thank you for your inspiration and encouraging videos.

  12. I made a signature quilt as a wedding quilt in the colors of the wedding. Block was simple and I masked the edges off so people only wrote on the fabric squares. Even the chef signed one. People wrote all sorts of nice comments. The center was a photo of the invitation.

  13. My next favorite thing to do when I finish my quilting for the day is read. I have a quilt kit for my grandson and his new bride due to be started in October and looking forward to working on it. Would love to read this book! Thank you for all the work you put into your blogs, I enjoy reading them also! 🙂

  14. First off, thank you for giving us a chance to win a free book. I made your quilt called, ” Merry and Bright”. I gave the quilt to my sister for a wedding gift. I love following all the great things that you do.

  15. I made a king size quilt with farm animals for my brother when he got married 2 years ago. The one and only king size quilt I made . He loved it.

  16. For wedding gifts I have made a Turning Twenty out of batik’s that was beautiful, Hidden Wells, which I would never make again 🤪

  17. I haven’t been quilting long enough to make one for a wedding gift. I’m making quilts for each of my grandkids. I’m on my last one and then I’ll start on other projects.

  18. 23 years ago I made a Double Wedding Ring quilt as a gift from my brother to his new bride. He helped choose all the fabric, blues & yellows & even put in a few hand quilting stitches. It still resides on their bed in Australia.

  19. Your question made me sit and think for several minutes. I’ve never made a quilt as a wedding gift. I didn’t start quilting until after my friends were already married. I’ve made quilts as baby gifts, birthday gifts and retirement gifts, but never as a wedding gift.

  20. I have made two quilts to give as a wedding gift. I call them picnic quilts and they are given with a picnic basket. the idea is so they will use it not just admire it.. one was a basket weave quilt and the other was a Jacobs ladder.
    both were appreciated.

  21. I recently made a quilt for friends who just got married. The bride wanted low volume fabrics.
I chose a simple design and the quilt came out beautiful!

  22. I was gifted a hand quilted wedding quilt 34 years ago. Mother in law and grand mother in law quilted it on a frame in their living room. It is a queen sized, thick, heavy, flannel one for our cold, snowy Montana winters. I still have it, however, it’s too warm for us to use. Thank you for reminding me of this tradition.

  23. The first wedding quilt I made wasn’t a bed quilt but a set of tumbler placemats. It went with a pattern on the couple’s stemware.

  24. I have not made a quilt as a wedding gift. I have contributed blocks or pieces of fabric for a wedding gift but I have not done the whole quilt. I love to see this younger generation getting quilts for gifts and especially when they are excited and appreciative of the gift and the time it took.

  25. I was asked to make a red, brown and white quilt for my nephew as a wedding gift. His fiance loved butterflies so it was a rather tall order! I was lucky enough to find a brown fabric with red butterflies so added a little bit of gold fabric to add interest. I designed a pattern myself and they still use the quilt on their bed 13 years later!-

  26. I have not made a wedding quilt yet, but am making my first baby quilt for our first grandchild, a girl, in October! The book looks like it will be a fun read. Thank you for sharing!

  27. I have not made an actual wedding quilt for anyone, but I always wanted to make one in bouquet blocks pattern, sometimes called nosegay. My grandmother made one for my mom & dad when they married, and I’ve always loved that one. I hope to make it someday. I love reading the books with quilt stories in them. They speak to my heart.

  28. I made a quilt with a combination of Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers fabric as a wedding gift. The bride was an Eagles fan and the groom was a fan of the Steelers.

  29. I haven’t made a quilt for a wedding however as a child I remember my mother taking me with her over to my aunts. They made and then hand quilted over several months aquilt for their baby sisters wedding. It was a happy time

  30. I have not made a quilt as a wedding gift yet. I am hoping to make a small decorative quilt square for my niece who is getting married in October and include their names and the date. We’ll see how that goes! I am currently reading the Jennifer Chiaverini Elm Creek Quilt mysteries and will read The Wedding Dress Quilt at some point.

  31. I’ve made several wedding quilts. The last one I made was for my grand-daughter. I made a quilt full of hearts. She loved it!!!!

  32. Have a Great Niece getting married this fall. Trying to decide about a quilt or something quilted for their gift! How appropriate!!

  33. I am currently in the process of making a quilt for my granddaughter’s wedding. This will be my first wedding quilt! I am making the Jelly Roll Sampler quilt using Jelly and Jam by Fig Tree. She is the first of my grandchildren to get married! I’ve made 5 pillows for wedding gifts, that has the Mr & Mrs (?) with established in the year the couple was married. The recipients loved them! I look forward to reading this book!!

  34. I’ve made wedding quilts for my kids and my nieces and nephews, everything from hunter Star to simple wedding ring to Husker/Busch Light quilts. So fun to watch them open their gifts…even though they know what’s coming.

  35. I haven’t made a wedding quilt but I have read several quilt mystery series. I’d love to have this book, it sounds really good.

  36. I made a nautical theme quilted as a wedding gift for my daughter who lives on the coast of New England

  37. I have not made a quilt for a wedding gift yet. I was not quilting yet when my kids got married. Maybe when my grandchildren get married I will do them one. We will see. I love to read.

  38. Any quilt made with love would be the perfect wedding gift. My boys are not married yet, so I keep practicing making quilts 😊

  39. I would love the book – I’ve been on a quilting related book binge lately! I’ve made one double wedding ring quilt for my daughter – challenging but fun!
