  1. I have only made one quilt for a wedding gift. I made from one of the Jolly Bar books published by the Fat Quarter shop using a Jolly Bar — At Home by Bonnie and Camille. I made it large lap or picnic quilt size. Pat, your book sounds really fun. Nothing like a little intrigue, romance and a quilt to make for a great story. My favorite kind! Thanks so much for sharing this one with us. You are awesome!

  2. Ooo sounds like a great book. I have never made a wedding ring quilt, but I did buy a vintage one from an estate sale that I love.

  3. I’ve only made one. It was half square triangles with two half hearts sewn together. Would love to read this Wedding dress book.

  4. I have not made a quilt for a wedding gift, but I did make a beautiful table runner by request from the MIL in chosen colors. It was well recieved!

  5. I haven’t made a quilt for a wedding gift. If I were to make one, I would make a quilt for picnics. The book sounds like a wonderful read. Knowing the author, I am sure anyone who receives this book will enjoy it!

  6. It was a food lap quilt. All kinds of chocolate covered strawberries and pretzels, and s’mores on it

  7. We have never made quilts as wedding gifts… birthdays, Christmas, graduation, baby showers…I would love to read the book.

  8. I have not made a quilt for a wedding gift. However, I did make a son-in-law a Bug Jar Quilt. He was thrilled.

  9. I have a niece getting married this fall and a nephew next fall, so it’s time to start wedding quilts for them. I would love to read the wedding dress quilt book. Thanks for all you do for the quilt community.

  10. I’m a beginner quilter, only made a couple of quilts so far. I have two cut out for my grandkids. But my story is that I was adopted at birth and just got to meet my blood brothers and there family two weeks ago while on vacation with my family. My daughter and son got to meet cousin they did not know they had,and my grandkids got to meet there great great uncles. We had such a good time together. I love mystery books with a twist and this book sounds like something I would like to read.

  11. I recently made a Halloween quilt for a wedding gift and have to wait for the longarmer to finish it. So excited to see it.

  12. I gifted a red and gold daisy quilt to my sister when she married her second husband. It coordinated with their caravan and saw much of Australia.

  13. I wedding quilt that I made for my Son was a bargello quilt and I am in the process of making a wedding quilt for my Daughter. It’s so fun to make quilts as a wedding gift. I also make matching pillow cases.

  14. Waiting for my son to pop the question and I will start their wedding quilt, Doible Wedfing Ring. I have the pattern, fabric and backing all ready to start! One day soon!!!

  15. I have not made a quilt as a wedding gift, but have made them for Christmas gifts. My daughter received a Steeler / Packer quilt as a wedding gift.

  16. I’ve made several quilts as wedding gifts and I always include in my card a well loved/used quilt makes a quilter the happiest. One quilt I packed in my suitcase to take to Oregon. Almost checked it in but major anxiety set in and explained to airline agent why I changed my mind. She said she understood and her conscious would be ok if luggage lost with hubbies underwear inside 😂😂😂but not with a quilt inside. So she happily returned mynsuitcase so I could carry it onto the plane💗

  17. I would love to read the book. I have not made a wedding quilt as of yet.
I really like to read so this would be nice. Thank You Barb😊

  18. I have made lots of jelly roll race quilts for wedding gifts. I have also used the Turning Twenty pattern book.

  19. I made a storm at sea variation with 2 hearts in the pattern. as a wedding gift.
    Blues and aqua batiks.

  20. I have made the most “obvious” pattern choice- Wedding Ring quilt. I used a Metro Design and a Quick Curve ruler, thank goodness!
Books and Quilts, what’s not to like???

  21. I made my daughter and her husband a 9 patch. And they have gotten a quilt each year at Christmas.

  22. My BFF and longarmer died a year and a half ago. She asked me before dying to take her Featherweight and a precut Laundry Basket Quilt kit, Anna’s Baskets. It was bittersweet to work – slowly and with tears – on that quilt. I REALLY wanted to keep it, but a special granddaughter was marrying a wonderful man and I just knew it needed to be hers. She loves it, and I have visiting rights.

  23. I have never completed a quilt as a wedding gift not to say I did not start one. Back when my oldest niece was getting married my sister came up with this great idea of a family tree quilt for their king size bed. Bear in mind I live in Arizona, and she is in Colorado. I was really new to quilting and was not sure at all how, or if, this was going to work. Note: She is not a quilter. She is a professional seamstress who does custom clothing and works in the theater. She put together a large box of fabric, sent it to me and thought I could work on the borders while she designed the top. She planned a large tree with many branches that held names of all the family members, birth dates, marriage dates, etc. I tried to come up with something but was not experienced enough at the time. Never completed and I still have the box of fabric at least 17-18 years later.

  24. I have not made a quilt for a wedding gift, but my Aunt made me a beautiful quilt for my wedding- all hand pieced and quilted!
    The book sounds great!

  25. I made a disappearing 4 patch quilt for our granddaughter’s wedding gift. I also made my daughter’s wedding dress.

  26. I have made a cat panel quilt as a wedding quilt, as well as an all purple quilt. Both were made under the supervision of the bride so they’d be happy with the outcome. The purple was a new color for me to work with and I found I really enjoyed it!

  27. As a grandma and great great aunt I am loving each generation wedding events. I travel to various states. It keeps me young at heart.

  28. Love to read- I find it a good way to relax and take a break from quilting ( making blocks ). This is one I haven’t seen and would love to read it.😊❤️

  29. I’ve made a quilt for my son and daughter in-laws wedding. They wanted it in grays and white. I made a duvet cover and bought a lightweight duvet to fit inside since they prefer “comforters”.

  30. I have never made a quilt for a wedding gift, but I did make beautiful pillow shams for a friend’s daughter, to match the quilt that she made for her.

  31. I made a wedding quilt for my niece, called “Something Blue”, made mostly of squares, but in the centre I added a big square with two pieced wedding rings. Only problem – that was 10 years ago when I started to hand quilt it and never got it finished! (They are now divorced, so not sure if I can appliqué something over the centre block and still give it to her, or what to do with it.)

  32. The first wedding quilt I made was for my daughter and it was a Trip Around The World in flannels and I hand tied it. I have made wedding quilts for all my kids weddings in patterns they chose. It warms my heart that they each anticipate receiving their quilts as they begin a new chapter in their lives.
