  1. I’ve never made a quilt as wedding gift. However, I did recently piece a metro rings by sew kind of wonderful that is a quick, easy version of wedding rings. Some recent health concerns leaves me wishing I had a new book to read though. 😊

  2. I haven’t made a quilt for anyone’s wedding yet. I am working on two quilts now for my daughters. But I plan to make something they would like when they decide to get married. I think this is a very interesting book and I love to read too.

  3. I have made several quilts for wedding gifts. I usually try to find out what there color way’s are and go from there. One of the quilts was called Metro Hoops by sew kind of wonderful, and it was done with their quick curve ruler. I would love to win this book!

  4. When my oldest daughter got married I took several of her wedding pictures and transferred them on fabric through my printer and made them a picture story of their wedding. After 15 years it still hangs in there extra bedroom. I know it is my favorite quilt Ihave made.

  5. I have 5 children and have made them each a quilt as they married. I have done some simple patchwork type to a complicated prism quilt. I haven’t ever done a double wedding ring quilt and have no plans to make one. Just not my style!

  6. I have made quilts as wedding gifts but I often gift them shortly after because I do not quite have them done in time. As new weddings come up, I think I am going to not do these but instead plan a first anniversary quilt. This would allow me time to complete the gift. Seriously, I think this will work. I would love a copy of this book to read on our fall vacation.

  7. I have made three wedding quilts! What a joy each one was for me to make, and for the recipients. The first was for my son and his bride, and was pieced, appliqued and hand quilted. The second was for my daughter and her groom, and was a lasagna/strippy style pattern in luscious colors. The third was for my friend’s daughter and her groom, made from Essex linen and machine quilted. These weddings led to lots of grandbabies….so I have made many baby quilts as gifts too!

  8. My granddaughter got engaged a few months ago. Also a good friends daughter got engaged. I am trying to decide on a pattern for their wedding quilts.

  9. I haven’t made one yet but making my granddaughter a Jeep quilt that will be given for wedding present …. or Christmas if they decide on no wedding … they are bot Jeep lovers!

  10. I made the Love is Patient by Buttons & Bows as a wedding quilt for my daughter. The I Corinthians verses made for quite a challenge but well worth the afforts. It is a beautiful quilt.

  11. I’ve made several different quilts as wedding gifts and enjoyed them all but my favourite is the one I’m working on right now. The bride picked whit with just a hint of grey so I’m doing a very modern design (of my own) with a white centre and 6 – 9” blocks set it on 2 diagonal corners. The blocks are made from various grey on white fabrics and are a variety of different blocks. I’m hoping the effect will be of ghost like blocks floating in opposite corners 😀

  12. Yes, I’ve made each of my daughters a wedding quilt. It’s been awhile so I don’t remember the names. I do however need to get busy as my son is getting married in May 2025.. I would enjoy the book. Thank you for the give away. Enjoy the sewing.

  13. This novel sounds really good and I would love to read it! I am from Texas and Waxahachie is close to my hometown in Duncanville, Texas. Waxahachie has a very old and beautiful courthouse on the town square. Thanks!

  14. In the 100th anniversary year of an ancestor’s wedding I made a barnraising log cabin quilt for a relative’s wedding in the same style as the antique wedding quilt.

  15. I love romance novels especially ones that involve weddings. I am going to my great nephews wedding in September.

  16. I have often thought of doing a wedding dress quilt, but not really a fan of sewing with satin fabric! The book sounds fun!

  17. One the first quilts I made for a wedding was lovers knot many years ago.
I have made many other quilts for weddings since that.

  18. I made a large wall hanging for my son’s wedding. It had a Celtic cross in deep, rich greens and purples. It’s 60×60 so it could have been a throw but they have 2 dogs that shed so I wanted to protect the quilt. They love it.

  19. I haven’t made a wedding quilt for anyone yet. I’ve made several baby quilts. When the grandkids start marrying, I might have to make a quilt for them. Love to read quilting stories, though.

  20. Reading takes up a lot of my time since I am older and those outside jobs do not interest me now. This book sounds like a good read.

  21. I’ve never made a wedding quilt for anyone. I dream big dreams, but have little follow through unfortunately. Lots of patterns, fabric and blocks, but only finished quilts for family so far.

  22. I’ve made a jewel box quilt using fall colors, a log cabin using blues and tans, and sampler quilt using black, blue, purple for wedding quilts for my nieces and nephew. For my son, it’s an Amish Roman Stripe.

  23. I made a quilt called “Fly Free” for my daughter’s best friend who was getting married. Since she loved Edgar Allen Poe, I put two FPP ravens facing each other on the back of the quilt. I would love this book!

  24. I enjoy giving wedding quilts out of my stash. Currently I have to finish 4 that brides have chosen. I would enjoy reading the new novel.

  25. Made a wedding quilt for a good friend many years ago – really before I started really quilting (I was a seamstress at the time). She was becoming a military wife and wanted something to remind her of home.

  26. The latest wedding quilt was a couple years ago. I made a Carpenters square. Well that marriage didn’t last long, maybe a year. I have changed to giving one on the first Christmas for family. Baby quilts seem to keep me busy now.

  27. I have made a king bed runner quilt for a couples weeding gift and I embroidered their names and the Date of their wedding on the center block.

  28. I have not made the quilt yet, but I had all the wedding guests sign a block at her wedding. I will put it with jewel tones for a beautiful quilt.

  29. I have not made a wedding quilt. Actually there hasn’t been any weddings in the family in years. There was one about 10 yrs ago but that ended a few years later. My Grandchildren are in their 20’s but no plans for a wedding anytime soon

  30. Big Thank You Pat for doing your videos. I would absolutely love to win book for I love read books to relax before going to sleep. To be honest sometimes I just can’t put it down for gotta find out what happens lol.

  31. Not any wedding quilts yet as there has not been a proposal. Maybe soon. My granddaughter’s birthday quilt was an Exploding heart in purples and pink on gray background

  32. Several of my close friends and I got together to sew and quilt while we taught at an elementary school. We decided to make quilts for our fellow teachers who married, had babies, retired, and sympathy quilts. We made various sizes and styles of quilts for our colleagues/friends over my 30 year career. We made a few quilts after we retired for teachers and administrators who had long term careers or special significance to our school. Giving and sharing our talents with other people made us happy!

  33. I’ve only made one wedding quilt for my niece. It was a Vera Cruz snack pack with tropical colors (2.5” strips) and it had a free pattern on the back called “Garden Squares”. Since my niece was a marine biologist., an avid diver and self proclaimed mermaid, and he was into tropical locations, it was perfect for them.

  34. I have made a double wedding ring quilt for a wedding also several other patterns a little easier than that one . would love to win this book. thanks Pat for all you deo

  35. I have not made a wedding quilt however I have given many quilts as. Just because I like you quilts. I love to read and this book also sounds like it might have a little mystery added in. Thanks for the fun ☺️😊

  36. The first wedding quilt I made had a center square with a picture of the couple that I printed on cotton fabric. I put large hearts (deep red with purple swirls) in rows above, below, and on the sides of their picture. I used purple Kona for the sashings and borders. I hadn’t been quilting very long but I learned pretty quick how to make 4-at-a-time Flying Geese!

  37. When my son got married I made a Sawtooth Star quilt for the happy couple. He proposed to his wife on a camping trip to the Sawtooth Wilderness in Idaho, thus I thought a Sawtooth star was fitting.

  38. I have not made a quilt for a wedding gift. Not too many weddings in my small circle. I did make my mom a signature quilt for her 80th birthday in 2009.
I love reading novels about quilters

  39. I have made lap size quilts as wedding gifts. For one couple it was a Christmas/winter fabric. For another it was camping fabric as they enjoy camping.

  40. I gifted my oldest daughter a log cabin quilt – took me 3 years to totally finish it cos I didn’t know how to quilt it.
I have gifted a cross stitch wall hanging with marriage date to a friend.
Thank you for all you do!!

  41. I love mysteries. I read about three to five books a week. I am going to see if my Kindle library has this book. Yay!

  42. I have made several for various weddings, one was from the pattern “Big and Bold” using fat quarters for my nephew and his bride. When the bride saw the quilt she said they were painting the bed room to match the quilt…I think she liked the quilt…made another for our niece,Peter was “Nova” using batiks in aqua and teal.. made a scrappy quilt just to use up scraps, my daughters best friend was getting married, had it quilted , gave it to bride at bridal shower, said quilt became a backdrop in a family picture.
