My dream, quilting adventure would be to go to a large quilting expo, get to meet Pat Sloan in person, and shop shop shop for new fabric, notions and books. I have never been to a large quilt show before.
Or, I’d like to go on a long weekend quilt retreat. I’ve never been to one of those either.
Oh, it’s nice to dream, isn’t it 🌈 😀💕
day 12 was not very successful. Busy with other things. One small area that I looked at today is the stash adn Store that I keep by the on/off switch at the end of my machine. It has seam unpicker, stilleto, wood pressing tool, Frixon pens and presser feet for easy changing.very handy for me.
After I finish myGrandson’s quilt, I am doing some of my own projects. I have taken the patterns and kits that I want to make and stacked them in the priority that I am going to do them. I have about 10 projects that I want to finish this year besides the sew alongs that I am sure I will do. Will begin the baby quilt sampler with Pat in April and do another project at the same time. Marked the Crazy Quilty March calendar with timelines.
That Coastal kit is wonderful. I have a sweet cousin who loves the ocean, and a daughter in law who lives by the beach and walks every
Day. I wonder if it’s difficult to do for a confident beginner?
I have always loved badminton more than volleyball or any other outdoor sport. Wish I had played more. I love skating too!
I’m doing the 365 challenge and the Blockheads besides bom and your blocks. I’m busy everyday
I am loving participating in Childhood Games and Out West block challenges! Thank you!
I love that lighthouse kit! And the moth fabric! I am a slow sewer, and I can’t keep up with the block of the week and also work on the table runners that I am stitching for my sisters’ birthdays gifts. I haven’t been stitching the blocks, but I am saving the patterns.
Love the way this quilt is going together . This block would be cute with a birdie fabric too !
I’ve really been enjoying your daily video prompts. I think today’s is going to be very helpful. I tend to jump around from project to project too much, and when I made my list I felt like I am more in control and can look at the big picture more accurately. THnaks, Pat!
I don’t think it is fun to be doing multiple projects. I am not going to do a challenge to myself to do every professional quilter’s idea that enhances their projects, fabric, books… It is good for them but not for me. My challenge is to just say no to everyone’s BOM’s. I can’t even download everyone’s blocks each month or handle even the files.
I have to watch myself or I get spread out too thin. So your BOM’s are printed out and set aside until I get four quilts done. Three of the tops are pieced, and one of those is quilted. I am stitching on the scrappy binding thanks to your March Madness challenge on Day 9. The fourth one is still in my head!
Have a good day, Pat. God bless….
I am working on finishing UFO’s – but then too I get excited about a new idea/project and have to start that too – . There are just too many projects and too little time!
I am working on the Out West BOM and Childhood games. I as so behind but hope to catch up this week and be on course from here. I have several quilts I want to get made this year and maybe this way I can get them finished.
I’m only working on projects (UFO) this year so far. I just need to finish what I’ve started or planned on doing, buying all the fabric but haven’t done anything with it… The only new project I’m going to start is moda block heads. I will begin that soon, I will have to catch up since it’s now week 9.
I love the idea of charting when BOM’s arrive. Some do take me more than one day to get done, particularly for local monthly meeting such as Kaffe & Friends. Also depending how far along in a project can change time requirements. I have 2 monthly meetings locally and working on 3 BOMs and 3 sew alongs. In theory that is only 8 days but I also have a longarm . And reading 3 books at the moment. I don’t sew every single day and give myself a rest day.
I needed this today. Now I don’t feel as stressed. Thank you!
So inspirational today, now with this empowering concept I hope get my quilting projects (4) on a routine fit to my lifestyle
Interesting to put my projects on paper. I never do BOM because I’m far too impatient (although I am doing the row a month with Sugaridoo and it’s a first for me – jury is still out as to whether this mode works for me). However, here’s my list: 12 Persimmon Pouches for Christmas presents (yes, I’m early but I’ve had the fabric forever so it’s time to finish – maybe even this afternoon!!), a moda cake mix in christmas fabric (going very slowly – but the goal is to be finished by the end of the quilt retreat I’m attending in April), trim and bind the Bonnie Hunter Frolic mystery quilt, and kit up the bookcase quilt that will also go to the quilt retreat. Yes, I’m collecting the Childhood Games patterns and maybe, MAYBE, I’ll add this to the list. So . . . does this count???
I tend to do only one project at a time but will cut out multiple project just to have them ready. Sometimes I will add small projects in while doing a large one. Smaller projects I tend to stack up then do the quilting and binding all at once. I’ have done a few BOM’s. Haven’t done any of your sew alongside yet but may do the baby one coming up.
