** PLEASE READ – The Layout**
Starting today our Wednesday Block will be on Tuesday for a few weeks. There was a scheduling conflict with the Charming Baby Sew Along, be sure you order your Baby Charming so you can sew along.. DETAILS AT https://patsloanquilts.com/charming-baby-sew-along/
…. Now… It is The Layout!!! NO BLOCK just the layout.

** The Block layout**
The light is the background fabric. I recommend
- Cutting all the background pieces now so you have the rest of your background to use in blocks
- The blocks above are laid out pretty much in order made.
- But I am going to switch some around for color balance. I want to space out the green and pinks

Second version. The last block could go in the left col… which I might do.
From here out I'll balance block colors so that they feel right in the layout. I need to use those orange fabrics and the green fabrics again for the lower blocks to repeat the colors down there. I'm happy with the balance of the others.
It's like opening a new box of crayons!
- For the next few weeks block is out on Tues
- The email notice sends around noon est. Check your spam if you didn't get it
- For each pattern the last page has a mock up of the block in repeat and a sometimes coloring page to use for that
- Enter your Email for a notice
- Share your block at the end
- Also Join my Facebook community, we have so much fun!

I am a collector of charm packs at this time. It was wonderful when the charm pack quilt book came out, but I ordered more charm packs to make the sampler. I am hopeless, but love it.
Hi Pat! It has been such a delight to tune in every day and listen/watch you! You are just so much fun!
My most used ruler is my 6×24″. My favorite specialty rulers are my Studio 180’s due to the precision of the finished project I have achieved, which I sometimes struggle with the points otherwise.
I have two favorite rulers. One is a lip ruler that was my mom’s. The other is a 2.5″ x 8″.
I have several favorite rulers one is a Creative Grids 6 1/2 X 12 1/2. I have an original Folded corner clipper that I never used until recently I count that as a favorite also. I have a third favorite Studio 180 Design wing clipper for squaring up flying geese.
My favorite ruler is the one that I am using for a current project. Since I have to sit to cut due to back issues, I use a 7 pound weight at the end of my long ruler. I bought it for exercise, but I’ve used it more for cutting fabric!!
My favorite is a 5inch by 24 inch with a lip on one end that hooks onto the edge of my mat and keeps it stable when I cut fabric width strips.
I don’t often comment because I can’t find where!! This is my comment on your fireside chat of Apr 13. Years ago I made all my test blocks with scrappy Christmas fabrics. I have enough assorted blocks for a quilt by now. In answer to the question of the day, my favorite ruler for years has been my frosted Olfa 6 x 12.
Hi Pat! I searched through all my emails & it seems I never received one from you yesterday. I just caught myself up on all you April activities YouTube video including your Fireside Chat from last night (4/13). During that chat you asked for our favorite ruler. I love my 6.5″x24″ Creative Grid ruler (almost as much as I love my other CG Rulers). I found the product called “Grippy” that you can spray on the back of your rulers and/or templates so that they will NOT slide on your fabric as you cut. I’ve even sprayed my CG Rulers since after a lot of use, they do lose some of their grip. Have you used Grippy yet? If not you should give it a try. And if so, I’d love to see you share it with your full YouTube audience on one of your videos. I think it’s a great product!
Have a good day. Stay safe! Stay healthy! Pray this quarantine ends sooner rather than later, but not too soon that it starts the process/spread all over again!
Pat, I was watching you you tube of making the corner Label…for Quilts, my question is
the quilt behind you, what is the name of it?????? I love it. I would like to get the pattern, but I need the name. Thanks for any help..

Pat, how did you know that all my patterns have been strewn on the dining room table for over a week? My husband heard your video this morning and said, “Good, we’ll get the table back!” 🙂 Thank you for spurring me on … I think. Enjoy your day!
