  1. Something that allows me to short term plan and long term plan is my favorite part of using a planner. I like something that easily allows me to make changes to my plans, too.

  2. A planner keeps ne organized but what I like the best us the ability to go back and see what I have accomplished and learn on those items that I didnt.

  3. My favorite part of using a planner is going back and seeing what I’ve accomplished in the last year!

  4. I loved using a planner and color coding all the activities of my kids. Also keeping them and looking back in the past for reference. I also add my prayer list to my planner.

  5. My favorite part of using a planner is listing weekly events, activities, projects and must do items. I also use it to map out QALs and sewing projects as you once recommended for getting projects accomplished. It helps you make good use of your time.

  6. I have never in my life used a planner. Maybe it’s time to start! I might be more organized. 🙂

  7. My favorite part of using my planner is a have a record of what I have completed and making the Check Mark that I completed the project, YEAH it is done! Once I have it written down, I don’t have to remember all the projects and the time limit I have for them.

  8. My favourite part of using a planner is to stay focused and reach goals. I also like to look back to see what I have accomplished- so rewarding.

  9. I love using a planner, and sometimes just a list, because it helps keep me on track with my projects. I found that if I don’t have it written down and a timeline planned days just seem to whiz by and I don’t accomplish what I thought I would. Thank you Pat for being there for us with such great ideas and helpful information.

  10. The biggest lie I tell myself is that I’ll remember that! With a planner everything is at my fingertip!

  11. Oh, my favourite part of using a planner, is that somewhere something is keeping track of the “adulting” in my life (3 kids, husband, cooking, cleaning etc.) And I can just sew and quilt as if I have no cares in the world… (for all the open gaps according to my planner, of course)

  12. I love seeing where I’ve been and where I’m heading. I especially like to write down my thoughts on projects so if I get off track or don’t work on it for a bit, I know where I was without having to spend valuable time trying to figure it out or worse yet fix mistakes.

  13. Planners keep me motivated. I see my prior accomplishments…while at the same time, I look forward to my next. I always leave space for the “expected “ other projects that come along which I just can’t pass up. It’s a way to keep me on track and still enjoy a surprise now and then.

  14. My favorite part of using a planner is that I can keep all of my notes in one place! I inherited my mom’s habit of writing notes and putting them all over the house.

  15. My favorite part about using a planner is that I can keep tract of all my daily accomplishments and make notes on things I need to do in the future. I also keep track of the number of days each year that I actually sew – some years it’s a LOT, (And FYI… I love that you are using my little shark square in your quilt – it was a fun surprise on today’s video!)

  16. A planner keeps me on track, not only for my sewing projects, but for meal planning and household chores. I once lost my planner for a week, I was devastated. Found it buried between my car seats. I am more careful now.

  17. To be honest,I have never used a journal. It could be something I would benefit with as it would help me stay focused and organized. More than likely I I would really see just how many projects I am really juggling

  18. My favorite part of using a planner is that it helps me keep track of not quite finished projects so that they don’t get lost in the shuffle. Also, a planner reminds me of how many current projects I have going on so that I don’t take on more than I can handle.

  19. My favorite thing of using a planner is. I can look back on dates for looking up a pattern. Who I gave the quilt too.
What fabric I used. How long the quilt took me to make. Where to find this UFO. He he
I just retired this past March. I’ve been keeping a Journal, so I can look back at what I did in my retirement years.
Lori Holts journal is so well thought out and put together!! Beautifully designed!! It’s a must have!!
    Thanks you,
    Sandy OConnor

  20. My favorite part of using a planner is it keeps me organized. I can see what I have done and what I need to do. These days if it isn’t written down, it most likely ain’t happening.

  21. My favorite part of using a planner is you have it written down! You can go back and check if needed to see what day you did something specific. And if I don’t write things down that I need to do, I always forget something. And pink is my favorite color.

  22. Now that I have retired I feel that a planner will give me structure to my days since I have lost that daily routine of a job.

  23. I would be lost without a Planner. It’s the only way to keep my life on track. I have soo many appointments and deadlines every month I would simply be lost without one.

  24. I use the planner for appointments etc.
But the favorite part is I like to log our vacations we have planned and take it along with me
To add favorite spots we have stopped or gas prices etc.
May be a favorite goodwill spot lol 😂
Thank you Pat for your tutorials

  25. Love planner but have a hard time keeping up as the year gets busy. Love the Lori’s for 2022 and have used it more than others I have purchased in the past. Thanks!

  26. A planner keeps me motivated and organized. If an idea pops up in my head I can put it in the planner to use in the future. I have kept a planner for years to keep track of my projects, doctor appts. birthdays and ect. I love watching your video’s. 🙂

  27. I keep my life on post a notes and other bits of paper. When using a planner, I can keep that all in one place and only need to remember one spot when I go looking for it!

  28. My favorite part of using a planner is having all of my notes in ONE place, rather than on dozens of post-it notes scattered all over!

  29. My favorite part about using a planner is taking a big project and breaking it into smaller do-able pieces – then checking them off as I finish each one!

  30. My favorite thing to do is clean and organize my sewing room but I am terrible about organizing my time. I have never used a planner but I think maybe I should. No better way to start than with one of Lori Holt’s planners.

  31. My favorite part of using a planner is to see what I have accomplished during the month and the keep me on track with current projects. Becky

  32. My favorite part of using a planner is that it gives me a sense of direction. It keeps me grounded and focused – and who doesn’t need that!

  33. I’ve never used a planner. But if I had this one, I think it would inspire me to actually plan out my quilting goals and work toward accomplishing those goals! Beautiful planner!!

  34. My favorite part about using a planner is that I can keep all my information about my projects in one place.

  35. As I’ve gotten older I rely more and more on my planner! It keeps me organized what I have going on and what I need to do!

  36. I like lists and I like to be organized, but don’t always accomplish that :-). After using some fabric on a project that I had purchased to use for a different quilt, I have been trying to keep track of the quilts I am making on my ipad, but I don’t always bring it into my sewing room. Have been thinking that maybe going back to paper and pen might be better for this.

  37. I LOVE that my planner gives me some accountability. HA! Not just that, though, but giving me some goals to work toward. Those are both important to me because I’m partly disabled because of my back. It’s too easy to slip into being lazy and just WATCHING quilting videos instead of actually quilting! LOL! Truth!
I also love looking back and seeing how much I actually accomplished last month o r this year, etc. Keeps me movin’ on! ;-D

  38. My favorite organizational method is keeping a planner! It keeps me on track and I love the feeling of accomplishment when I complete a project ! I love having it as a handy resource when I am looking for a quick and easy project to complete ! It helps me plan and organize upcoming projects so no panic as the deadline approaches lol.

  39. My favorite thing about using a planner is that I feel so organized. I love writing down a to-do list and checking items off!

  40. My favorite part of using a planner is that it helps me know exactly what I want to accomplish each day. Since I plan ahead, I don’t have to waste time thinking about what I need to do next. (Also, it helps me keep up with Pat Sloan!! 🙂 )
Thanks for all you do, Pat!

  41. My favourite part of a planner is to keep me on track with projects and to prioritise things I need to do over what can wait till later 😎😎

  42. Love planners for keeping track of the things to do. Being retired its hard to just keep up on what dqay it is.

  43. I need a planner to keep track of everything! My memory is not as good as it once was! Lori Holt’s planner is the most most complete and prettiest planner I have ever seen.

  44. Hi Pat! I used to use a planner all the time when I was working and I loved that it kept me focused and on task instead of flitting from one thing to another all day. It allowed me to complete projects on time. Now that I’m retired, I’ve not used a planner, but I’m beginning to think it would be a great tool for me to start using again. Thanks for all you do!
