  1. Making project notes in a planner to help me recall fabrics used, pattern name, changes I might have made to the pattern, are my favorite part of using a planner. Thank you for offering this lovely giveaway Pat!!

  2. Planners are so helpful, especially as we get older! It really helps me stay on track for appointments and reminds me of my goals (exercise!) every day.

  3. Being a very visual person, writing in a planner helps me to free my mind from having to remember so many things. I am also a list maker and love the satisfaction of checking off tasks as they are completed. I loved watching you sew today, Pat! You inspired me to use the wonderful features of my Luminaire!

  4. My favorite part of the planner is the daily goal section. On Sunday I pick what to work on that week and then write small daily goals to accomplish it. It’s amazing how much gets done on a project just doing a little bit each day. Once I’m actually at the machine, I usually get real enthused and finish the daily goal and move on to a monthly goal project .

  5. My favorite part of using a planner is for organizing my day and it is my sad attempt to stay organized. I start strong but generally fall off but I keep trying.

  6. The best thing and my favorite part of a planner is looking back at what I’ve accomplished over the years time. And that makes me feel good about what I do with my time in my happy place! When I write down my goals or projects I just get more done. Thank you Pat for your videos and the inspiration you bring to my sewing room, the joy you bring to my day.

  7. My favorite part of using a planner is that it keeps me organized and on track. I have one at work, at home and in my craft room. It can also help me remember what I’ve done over the years and I can get info from it for taxes (miles to medical appointment, miles to volunteer, etc). I also like to add photos to my craft room planner with projects that I’ve made – I do quilting, cricut projects, and attempt to do cross stitch. I don’t like the calendars on the phone or tablet, I would rather carry a planner around with me and keep track of whatever we need to have written down to keep aware of what is coming up next.

  8. Hi Pat…my planner is my brain. I write everything down and a planner helps me keep on task. I also like to look through past planners and reminisce about days gone by.

  9. A planner is great to use. It keeps you focused on your projects. It tells you when you can be flexible and rearrange your schedule.

  10. My favorite part of using a planner is how portable they are. Just like physical books to read, I like the physical feel of opening a planner. Easy to jot down ideas and scan through at a later date to see what pops into a current to-do. I recently retired and would like to try using a planner for my quilting projects.

  11. Using a planner keeps me on target! I don.t forget what needs done. I am glad it is pink this year.

  12. I would like to start using a planner to get more organized! I have so many projects I need to finish up and maybe this could help me to complete those. Plus a great way of keeping track of all the quilts, tablerunner and other projects I have made!

  13. Oh My Stars is my go-to pattern for baby quilts! Your pattern is fabulous 💝
My favorite use of a planner is to keep my quilting schedule on track & flowing. I schedule a timeline for the beginning of each quilt, who the quilt is for, what fabric, what pattern, when a quilt is needed, longarm date, binding, embroidery label, and shipping provider. So much info to keep track of! Having a planner vs having a notebook is the date is already done 👍🏽 One less detail I have to keep tray of. Thank you for your cheerful vids & the Lori Holt giveaway. 🤗

  14. My favorite part of using a planner is it keeps both my family and hobbies organized and tidy. It also allows me to jot down ideas and future plans.

  15. Favorite part of a planner is planning by year, month, week, and then details for my day. I then turn my planner into a junk journal that holds inspirational photos, colors, sayings using ephemera . After a few months the planner develops a feel and personality of its own.

  16. I am always making lists to cross off completed tasks as I go about my day. I have even been known to create a list after the fact just so I can cross things off. Crazy I know but the little things bring me happiness. LOL 😂😂😂

  17. My favorite thing about the planner is keeping track of all my daily items (appointments, projects, etc.) in one place. Then I can find projects for the year easily. Thanks for showing the star points, was very helpful.

  18. I like to put my current projects and track my progress. I also list To Do projects because I see new fabrics and loose focus.

  19. I like to use a planner because it keeps me focused on my goals. I love checking off things I’ve completed. Love your channel!!!

  20. Easier to keep track of what’s going on. As a list maker, my favorite part is checking off finished items. Thanks for sharing g your creativity with us each day!

  21. I love the organization a planner brings to my life. Work keeps me busy and my quilting and cross stitch keep me busier! 😂
I use a planner to track current WIPs, future QALs and SALs I’m participating in, and any quilt & cross stitch patterns I have “kitted” up.

  22. We have so many different appointments and days that we are supposed to watch the grandchildren I couldn’t remember all of these dates without having a planner to write them all down .

  23. I like planners because they keep track of the projects you are working on, projects you have finished and projects you are going to do in the future. They hep keep you organized.

  24. organize my time and keeping track of what I must be doing is my favorite things about using a planner. I would use the extra pages for quilting to keep on schedule and a record of what I’m doing and what’s coming up. Thank you Pat and the Fat Quarter Shop for all you do. I’ve just ordered the Moda solids panel. I am sew excited to get it.

  25. Using a planner keeps me on task. Also by listing all my projects something doesn’t get forgotten.

  26. My favorite part of using a planner is keeping track of all my projects. Several might have become lost in the shuffle of my disorganization. Lol

  27. When I use a planner I don’t forget as much. I also don’t have 800 to do list laying around. Everything is in one place and it makes it simpler.

  28. I would love to use a planner strictly for my quilting projects. I often forget what my goals are and hop off to start a new project instead of finishing the ones already started. Love your videos, thanks for all you do for us.

  29. I like using planners because I like making lists and keeping track of things I do each day/month and being able to look back at it and plan for the future.
Thanks for making daily videos, I start every day with you!

  30. My favorite part about using a planner is a feeling of accomplishment. I can look back at what items or chores I marked off and feel good about getting things finished. If I don’t use a planner it is very easy for me to become distracted and start and stop things all day and never finishing anything. Thank you for the give a ways and I always watch you first thing in the morning to get my day started. 😘

  31. I love using a planner to keep track of my projects I am working on. And planning future projects. Also to keep track of the 33 birthdays for my many nieces and nephews to Great Great nieces and nephews.

  32. I have always used planners for work and now that I am retired I thought I wouldn’t need one, but it seems I use it now more than ever! I do get more quilts planned and done this way!

  33. Love a planner because I can write down my ideas as I think of them and before I forget my ideas and projects I want or need to do!!!

  34. I have never used a planer. But since I’m a list maker I’m sure I would enjoy using a planer and would benefit from it. Could keep track of my progress.

  35. I was gifted a planner earlier this year and started using it just for my crafting and quilting. It is a wonderful method to keep track of what you have done, as well as what you hope to accomplish. Frees the mind not to have to remember everything when it is jotted down.

  36. My favorite part if using a planner is, no matter how busy or crazy my life gets, I have a reference to know what is really supposed to happen. When the craziness gets to be too much, I can replan and reorganize and easily remember what haappened and how I changed things to work for me.

  37. I have never used a planner. I think it’s a great idea. I would love to start because I can already see how it will help me not only set my goals on paper where I can see it daily to motivate me but also be able to look back and see what have accomplished.
Currently I am a hot mess wasting the first hour usually trying to decide what to do first in my quilting studio. A planner will guide me making better use of my time. I am excited just thinking of its usefulness.
Thanks Pat! I love your videos and You!

  38. Ok I have to be honest, I have never owned a planner, my girlfriend and I make bucket lists on paper and then you come up with another great sew along and that bucket list is redonevover and over. Then lost in the quilt room, its cloaning I need ha, I can see where a planner could be beneficial so I could find it versus paper notes all over the place, so if I am lucky would love to try it, tyty

  39. My favorite part of using a planner is you can see the whole month in one glance. I keep appointments in my phone but it’s hard to see the whole picture. I also pick 3 projects a month that I want to finish and enter them in the planner and it keeps me on track.

  40. My favorite part of using a planner is a planner keeps me on track with everything going on is my left and I know when I have time to stitch.
A recent Apple update on my iPhone removed my Microsoft contacts and calendar and now I’m lost.🥵😤

  41. I like to use my planner as a reference. I can look back to check when I ordered something or sent a quilt to my long-arm quilter. Sure helps my memory to have those references.
