100 Blocks – 2024 QAL

*** 100 Blocks!! ***

Many of us have been captivated by the idea of sewing 100 blocks in a year. It’s a fun way to enjoy our fabric. Tula’s 100 blocks is full of simple geometric blocks that will work so nicely to make a few a blocks a week. You can do all 100 or do fewer, whatever works for your schedule and the size quilt you want to make.

Most likely I will do less than 100 as I like the more unique layouts.  I could do all 100 and put the extra on the back. Time will tell!

I plan to enjoy using my collection of Tula’s Alice inspired fabric and others of her fabric with the darling images. Then pull from what I own to co-ordinate.

• Starts Jan 2,2025 to Oct, 2025
• I will make 10 to 14 blocks a month finishing in October. That is 2 to 3 blocks a week. 
• SIZE  – The layout in the book for a simple sashing and 100 blocks is 90 x 90. The book has several size quilts depending on how many blocks you use. 
• SUPPLY List – You need to know which layout you want.
  • The 100 block queen size simple sashing layout is
    • 5 yds for sashing
    • 1 yd binding
    • 9 yds backing
