  1. I have working at the MD State Fair this week in the Home Arts Bldg, surrounded by beautiful handmade articles, quilts, needlework, weaving, crochet, knitting, rug making and of course cakes, pies and cookies. Such a difficult job. I have been working in the knitting dept and was given a great tip about weaving in the yarn ends. Quite often there is a lump where you weave in the ends of yarn in knitted and crocheted items. To eliminate this, separate the “plys”/strands that make up the yarn and weave them in different directions. Presto! No bumps or lumps!

  2. What I have learned is that there is definitely more than 1 way to do things. I
am from the quilting generation where there seemed to be strict “right and wrongs” which took a lot of the joy out of the process. Thanks Pat for showing us we have options!

  3. That I can always learn something new in the quilting world. There is always so much new stuff making our journey easier.

  4. The thing I learned recently ….. how to create mitered borders on my quilts. It makes such a difference!

  5. The last thing I learned is how to set up my Roku TV. I’m not super Tech savvy so I ran into a few aggravations along the way. Love your videos. Watch you almost every day.

  6. Thanks to YouTube videos I have learned how to work tie-down ratchet straps. We move machinery and hay on flatbed trailers and used to just cobble up some kind of clumsy knots for the tie down straps. There are so-o-ooo many YT videos, it took a while to find a few demonstrating the ratchet mechanism that made sense to me. But now our loads are safely secure.

  7. What I learned……..your tips, tricks and hints for the various projects you are working on has helped me to be a better quilter.. My techniques have improved and now show in finished projects. Thanks for all you do, show and care!!

  8. Love you too Pat. Thanks for showing all your stuff and how you manage to do at least a little of something. Love, love, love the Bats & Boo border! Take care

  9. That Christmas floral will look great! Are you using using the red poinsetta for stars! Look forward to seeing it!
