  1. awh LOVE the 1st Wednesday block! Fun giant size. I really like fat quarters, but even more I like Layer Cakes. SEW much can be done with them and they are a quick jump start being already cut to the convenient 10″ size.

  2. Layer Cakes is what I first started using. Now I use all of them, Fat Quarters, Layer Cakes, Charm Packs and Jelly Rolls. Now it depends on what I’m making. A new layer cake would be nice to have for my Perfect 10 book!

  3. My favorite pre-cut fabric is Fat Quarters. They are so cute, colorful, and so many projects that can be made with a fat quarter.

  4. I think I like charm squares the most. They are easy to use and don’t have any waste. Thank you for your time and effort in this post.

  5. So many precuts to choose from, with wonderful fabric. I enjoy using layer cakes and would be thrilled to win your line of fabric. Than you for the giveaway! ❀❀

  6. I have to say my favorite pre-cut is a fat quarter bundle, although I just purchased the Perfect 10 book and am excited to use a layer cake! Since I am just starting to build my stash, I have used mostly pre-cuts for each project. I do love your wide cuts, Pat, for the backings. Thank you for such beautiful fabric choices!

  7. Hi Pat! My favorite precuts are Fat Quarters and I buy them in bundles and two or three individual fat quarters to build my stash. I enjoyed your video today and the “Apron” block. Happy 10th anniversary!

  8. My favorite precut is the charm pack. The 5″ square works so well for me in many things. Sometimes I have to visit my stash to add a color to a charm pack but usually the pack is just perfect. If it is a larger project that needs several charm packs, I love that a layer cake will make 4 charm packs. Thank you Fat Quarter Shop.

  9. I love all cuts of fabric but tend to gravitate towards fat quarter bundles. When I make a purchase I don’t always know what pattern I am going to use, so I figure fat quarters would cover most patterns.

  10. Paisley, paisley, everything paisley!! I love fat quarter bundles, but I haven’t used a layer cake yet. I’m sure I will really like layer cakes, especially if there’s paisley!!!

  11. When I can find fat quarters on sale that is what I buy. They can be cut up most anyway needed for a project. My go to precut.

  12. I love jelly rolls the best since I seem to be forever incorporating 2 1/2 inch pieces into my quilting, be it squares, binding, etc.

  13. Thank you for all the giveaways! I’d love a beautiful layer cake. I’ve got mostly fat quarters in my stash at the moment.

  14. I enjoy using a fat quarter bundle if I’m making a bed sized quilt. That gives me lots of options for fabric placement and I can use the leftovers to piece into the backing.

  15. My favorite pre-cut is layer cake because of the size and able to get most blocks I work on out of it. That being said I seem to use a lot of harm packs. I just like fabric.

  16. I like fat quarter bundles. The more fabric the merrier!!! Love your new fabric line and Benartex fabrics!!! Thanks for a chance to win!

  17. I would love to be entered in the “Drawing” Room fabric giveaway of your wonderful Benartex fabric line! Love your daily videos!

  18. Hi, Pat.
Layer Cakes are cool. I’ve found some really cool patterns using layer cakes.
I find that I use more charm squares because they are cheaper and family will often gift them to me.

  19. Bernatex fabrics are top quality are beautiful and a pleasure to sew. I can see why Pat Sloan designs for them…a match made in heaven.

  20. I’ve never had a layer cake I usually purchase yardage. It look like it will be easier to have the project match in color.

  21. I really love fat quarters because it is so easy to work with in small spaces. Also there is very little left over fabric after a project. Finally I can get nice sized pieces of fabric of an entire fabric line at a reasonable cost. Congratulations on ten years on you inspiring and helpful Facebook group especially you and your ambassadors.

  22. Beautiful fabrics, Pat, as always! I love the rich colors. I can also envision a whole cloth bed covering from the light blue or the medium blue. The gold fabric reminds me of the spread on our bed when we were first married 51 years ago. How I loved that design!
I would very much enjoy using a layer cake of Drawing Room to make a Perfect 10 quilt.
Thank you for your daily inspiration.

  23. I like half-yard bundles. Rarely find them, but ever so useful. I guess my next favorite would be layer cakes. Again, useful. Thanks for your celebrating your 10-year anniversary with us!!

  24. My favorite precut is layer cake. So many ways to use and you can make a complete bed quilt(with added background!) Second place goes to Jelly Roll for quickness (is that a word?).

  25. If I can afford it I prefer the fat quarte bundles, because you get more fabric, my second choice will be fat eights and my third choice will be a layer cake.
