  1. I love layer cakes, but my budget loves charm squares. When I just have to have that new fabric line, but can’t afford a layer cake, I buy a couple of charm packs. I’m always thinking, I have to get two so I can make Pat’s “Oh My Stars”.

  2. 😍 layer cakes are my newest obsession! I think I’ve got at least a dozen if not more. Can’t seem to bring myself to cut into them yet 🤣

  3. I have never purchased a layer cake yet. I have done the child hood memories quilt with a barn theme, turned out so beautiful.

  4. If I had money each time I would pick Fat Quarter Bundles, but they have gotten very expensive so I have gone to Fat Eighths, next would be a layer cake since I can make so many things from them, 2 Jolly bars, 4 sets of Charm Packs,16 mini charm packs and even short jelly rolls.

  5. I likevfat quarters, I do use a lot of jelly rolls also. I just bought a bundle of half yard collection for the first time. It may be fun to use this up. I have bought quit afew layer cakes.

  6. I like Fat Quarter Bundles!! I do like using charms, layer cakes and jelly rolls. It also depends on the pattern I’m making at the time. I do have some on hand for that special quilt that just might come along.

  7. I love fat quarters best for their versatility, but I have bought a layer cake when I needed a bunch of 10” squares.

  8. My favorite pre-cut is a fat quarter bundle because they include all fabrics in the fabric line. I can create a controlled scrappy quilt with them.

  9. I love fat quarters, but also have found that the layer cake works so well for many quilt projects! I love the Drawing Room fabrics and would love to win the give-away of these fabrics.

  10. I don’t have aprons in my closet, they are full of lab coats! My nephew teaches PhD students in biology. He hates plain so I get them first to “decorate”. I try to incorporate their specialized field into the design, mushrooms, pine trees and chick peas this time. They are envied by the other faculties and each student gets to take theirs home when they graduate.

  11. I used to use mostly pre cuts, charms and layer cakes . I have pretty much changed to fat quarters and you can get several quilts out of them.

  12. I love all pre-cuts : layer cakes, charms, mini charms and jelly rolls ! I only recently discovered fat quarters to be able to cut needed sizes for quilts.

  13. I like layer cakes, you can cut them many ways. Or not. My local shop does not sell them. I do like to shop Local.

  14. I Like Layer Cakes, they really help when putting together a quilt project with a selection of fabrics that go together.

  15. I just love precuts. I use mostly charm packs but have a big stash of layer cakes, fat quarters, and jellyrolls. It just depends on what pattern I am currently using.

  16. I started working with fatquarter bundles but layer cakes make an easy start on a quilt. I love your new fabric line and will be making several quilts with it. Happy Anniversary

  17. My favorite precut is a fat quarter bundle as I have extra fabric if I mess up or want to spread the joy to other projects. I mostly buy yardage as I usually do not use just one designer’s collection. I love variety in my quilts.
I love the fabrics in you new Drawing Room collection. I am a die hard paisley lover.

  18. I’m a beginner working on my first quilt top and I’m using jelly rolls. I would really love to try one using a layer cake!

  19. My favorite pre-cut is a layer cake. They can be cut into 5″ charm squares or lots of 2 1/2″ squares. Love your block wednesdays. So much fun!!

  20. Hi Pat, I love fat quarters…it allows me to see all the prints in a collection. So many collections, so little time!

  21. I love any cut of fabric! The best one is a Fat Quarter as you always have leftovers to create another quilt!

  22. I’ve only made a couple of layer cake quilts, but I have been drawn to layer cake quilt patterns lately. It would be awesome to make one from your Drawing Room fabrics. I’ll keep my fingers crossed. Congratulations on your 10th anniversary. Thank you for sharing for expertise and passion with us.
