  2. Hi – I have a small supply of batting on hand because I want to have it when I need it. I get what I can on sale and because of supply issues did that so I don’t have to worry. It gets used up too fast, though.

  4. I have done both. Usually i just get what I need but when I have a stack of quilts (usually always!) I have bought a roll of batting so I was set to quilt when i have time.

  5. I like to keep 80/20 batting stocked. I purchase a big roll whenever I can and then I’ll have smaller poly and cottons for baby blankets and such.

  7. I have a neighbor who has a fabric store one mile from my house so I usually buy my battings from her but a roll would be so convenient. Especially for those wider quilts. Love your daily tutorials Pat. Thank you for all you do for us.

  8. Hi, I buy a couple of packages of batting when I see it on sale. I have wanted to buy a roll because I saw where someone had it hanging on the wall. They put doweling through the center & attached a rope or chain to the ends & just rolled it off as needed. It was a great idea.

I alway buy a king size bag of Warm and Natural needled cotton batten or the Warm and Natural white cotton. And cut from those. So if I were to win a bolt of Warm and Natural batting. It would be a dream.

  12. I always use Warm and White batting. I tell my kids when I’m running low and they give me king size packages for Christmas or Mother’s day.

  17. I definitely buy the bolt or off the bolt. I like to be economical. I use the smaller pieces for smaller pieces, then franken-batt for cat mats.
