I tend to buy large (K or Q size) packaged batting and then cut down to the size I need. Having a whole roll would be amazing and really inspire me to get a lot done. Hoping to make Christmas quilts for my coworkers for next year, so this would help with cost IMMENSELY! Thanks for the opportunity to win!!
I stock batting though not as much as others. I usually have enough for two quilts.
Batting is always a needed pet of my quilting. I have used it for rugs, quilts, small fabric projects, and even various crafts. Thank you for reaching out to us quilters and arranging for giveaways.
I buy batting on sale and always have a few extra on hand. I also have a local quilt shop where I can purchase the large scraps from their Longarm business. I use these for table runners and small quilts.
To save money I wait for sales and buy batting then for quilts that are in the making. Warm & Natural is my favorite; everything else pales in comparison, from the drape to the actual quilting and feel of the finished quilt. It’s a quality product! Happy 10th Anniversary!
I had a roll of batting, but I cut the last of it the end of October. Now all I have left is scraps. I could really use a new roll. I have 2 quilt tops waiting for batting.
I have bought batting according to my needs. However, I bought my first roll because they were having a great sale. I will see how this works for me.
I love Warm and Natural Batting. I would love to win. I usually buy two or three batting packages at a time. I have never had a large roll of batting. That would be super!!
I could use some Warm and Natural, we are having a cold snap on the Pacific Northwest, it is a chilly 13 degrees this morning. Happy Anniversary.
I keep batting in stock. My go to batting is from the Warm Company.
Wow lots of typos (sorry) mkt should be “only” and then o should be “to”
Just started following your group on Facebook! How fun! Love, love, LOVE seeing all the inspo!! I have mkt made a few quilts in my life, but am excited o get back into it now that I am retired’ish 😍
I buy the Warm batting by the 90 inch wide roll and love it. Speaking of which I need to go order some more!
I have a stack of quilt tops to be quilted – would love a roll of batting!
I buy batting as I need it. I usually get the next size up so I have scraps galore. They are great for dusting or packing fragile items.
I stick to 3 sizes TQAnd crib. Not enough space to store
I like to keep a stock of backing and batting. I am moe lazily to finish the quilt if I don’t have to go out and buy the batting and backing.
I stick to three packages on hand of batting three sizes because I do not have room for large rolls. I choose Twin Queen and crib
I buy the whole bolt!
I usually have a batting or two on hand.
I buy batting per project. I keep remnants for smaller projects.
I do a lot of quilts for charities, so I prefer to buy the batting by the roll.
Dear Pat Sloan
I thoroughly enjoy and look forward to your daily videos-you always Have some little tidbit that makes for a better day or quilting experience. I am an avid Charity quilter and can always use a roll of batting. Warm and Natural has been my go to batting since I started doing charity quilts many years ago
It depends on the size quilt. If it’s a baby quilt I buy as I need. If it’s any bigger I have 2 big rolls that a friend gave me because he works at a place that makes horse blankets and use’s a tight weave filler almost like felt. It’s pretty dense and makes a nice weight quilt. To heavy for baby quilts.
I stock up on batting whenever it’s on sale. I never pay full price that way. Plus that way I always have plenty of batting on hand.
I keep a batting supply stocked
Would love your batting!
I kept looking for the comments to appear Pat, however I had to click on the blue comment link next to your name and then they came up. You didn’t say that in the video when you tried to show us how. Never been to your site. It me over 15 min. I almost gave up. I had to rewatch the YouTube video 5-6 times and scroll through several weeks worth of posts before I went back ….. Im in I think. Warm and natural. Yes please.
I buy batting as I need it. It would be wonderful to win the bolt of batting. It would make life a lot easier! I love Warm batting!
I stock the big roll and cut off as needed.
I do love the Warm batting brand and what a blessing to have a full roll I keep a roll of batting on hand when I can I would love to win
I like to pick up batting if I find a good deal. A lot of times I have come across new packages of batting at goodwill…who can pass that up!
I bought 2 bolts of batting from Joann’s about 2 years ago and have been using it slowly on small projects. However, I have prepared backing for a twin sized quilt, so I’ll be needing more soon! This giveaway will sure come in handy! Thanks!
I have purchased for each quilt at a time. Would be wonderful not to worry about buying for every quilt. My favorite so far is bamboo for the feel and drape.
I am a newbie so up till now I have purchased what I need as I need it but would love to be able to have a roll on hand for when I want to make something spur of the moment. As always thank you for what you do for your community.
i try to keep some on hand. but would love to have more on hand at any one time.
thank you for all you do, I love this community.
A whole roll!. Wow! I’d love to be able to have it on hand and not have to buy for each quilt!
Hi Pat, I primarily buy batting by the roll so I can cut it to size and don’t need to worry about not having the size I need. It’s also shared with my daughter and granddaughter, lol so I don’t have to worry about running out, thank you Pat and Warm Company for the opportunity
I usually buy what I need but having a roll on hand would be nice.
Love watching you every morning when I wake up. It makes my day to see your smiling face and hearing your laugh.
I would love to have a roll of batting. I tend to buy what I need at the time.
I’ve been researching where to get a roll of batting.
Would enjoy trying this one.
I’ve purchased the small packages of Warm batting in the past.
Congratulations on 10 years!
Do you stock batting or buy just what you need? …. I stock it. Most of what I have is from Warm up I do also have some wool, bamboo, and poly from other companies. Nearly all my Warm is used up now as it has been my go-to.
Thanks Pat! I love warm n natural also! You are wonderful.
I try to keep stocked up on batting. I plan on buying a long arm this year, so of course I’m loving your give away.
A friend and I share a rolll of batting. Good luck everyone.
I buy batting as I find it on sale, so have quite a stockpile.

I have been purchasing my batting mostly as packages. A few times I have purchased it by the yard, which I prefer over the packages. I would prefer to purchase by the roll, just have not at this point.

Hi Pat, I just buy batting as I need it. I’m using up batting that I had purchased years ago. Thanks for this opportunity and again congrats on 10 years with Facebook!
