** FAQ **

  • What is a Fat Quarter? A fat quarter is half of a 1/2 yard of fabric cut WIDE so it is  18" x 20"
  • Can I use fabric that is not a FQ? Sure!
  • Can I use Stash (fabric I own) – Yes!  Pull out a bundle of beautiful fabric
  • Will I use all the fabric – Not all of it. This is to give you variety, more is better!
  • Can you show me the blocks in advance? No, it's a mystery
  • What are the Technique? – All Easy Pieced.
  • NOTE: The Blocks do NOT LOOK like the topic of the week. This is not a pictorial quilt. I do a topic as it is way more fun than just plopping out a block.  I love the memories and sometimes research that goes into the topic.  That keeps my Sew alongs fun and unique.

  1. Oh! Homemade apple pie for sure! Love to invite my friends over to share and to see how high the pie comes out!

  2. My favorite dessert of all time is cherry pie. Then pecan pie and key lime pie. My favorite cake is German Chocolate, coconut cake, pecan praline Bundt cake. It’s not easy to really choose a favorite, because I don’t often eat desserts. I’ve never been one to order a dessert. 🤷🏼‍♀️ BTW: we’re in the middle of King Cake Season in my hometown of Lafayette, Louisiana! Do you like King Cake?

  3. Loving this quilt along. I found you on you-tube and have now watched many of your older shows. Your quilts are so appealing that i have started three of them. I live in West Palm Beach, retired and living alone and quilting saved me during the pandemic lockdown. I made or finished 13 King sized quilts. I wish i found you sooner but I am excited to quilt with you in 2022!

  4. Your Boston Cream Pie block is gorgeous! Thank you for showing your thought process as you choose fabrics for each block. It is most helpful.

  5. I liked your Brownie block last week, but needed one that would finish at 12 1/2″, so enlarged it, and made two different color versions for the quilt. Turned out great!!

  6. Boston Cream Pie is one of my favorites. When I lived in Vermont the local grocery store also made Boston Cream Donuts that were sinfully delicious!

  7. Boston Creme Pie was my dad’s favorite dessert. When I was about 9, I got an Easy Bake oven and made him little dried out cakes with runny pudding and globs of chocolate icing. I’m sure they were horrible but he gobbled up every on and declared me to be a great baker. Thanks for bringing up a wonderful memory.
