Dark Block Border fabric- I am cutting from the FQ Bundle so it will be a variety of fabric. If you want it all the same fabric than purchase 1 1/4 yard of a fabric you want to use

**Summer Soiree… Mystery Sew Along Details***
If you are just joining me, hi friend! This sew along theme is inspired a 'Summer Soiree'.

"The definition of a soirée is a gathering or get-together, especially a posh or elegant one. A soiree is an elegant and intimate affair. It is an evening party held in a private house. While ambient music plays, guests engage in a variety of private conversation."
** DETAILS **
- RUNS: July 7, 2021 to Sept 29, 2021
- Blocks: All 12" ONE PER WEEK make ONE of them
- SIZE: 58 /1/2" x 75 1/2"
- Type of Blocks: EASY Pieced blocks
- TIMING: Wednesday around 7:30am EST. Email notice goes out noon-ish in my time zone, EST. The email is NEVER when the block is published.
- Quilt Photo Sharing: Share at my Facebook community or at the end of each article. You can share your fabric down below! I am using the same photo share for all the Block Wednesday.

- What are the Technique? - All Easy Pieced.
- NOTE: The Blocks do NOT LOOK like the topic of the week. This is not a pictorial quilt. I do a topic as it is way more fun than just plopping out a block. I love the memories and sometimes research that goes into the topic. That keeps my Sew alongs fun and unique.

I'm using the Figs & Shirtings fat quarter bundle + background fabric from my friend Joanna. You will have some left over. I am so excited about using this fabric! I love that splash of black!
You do not have to use the same fabric as me. You can use any fabric you like

Help!! I must be making a mistake–or there is a link that wasn’t updated. I joined late (halfway through–thanks to FQS for finding out about this QAL!) and came to collect past blocks. I found the table and got the first 6 weeks’ missed blocks no problem, but I wanted to get the layout (not the supply list, the LAYOUT).
At the bottom of the table there is a thumbnail of the layout and a link that says it goes to the layout BUT instead, it goes to Block 2’s page (HTML) and there is no link there either for a PDF of the layout. I tried clicking the image and the text link; they both go to Block 2 🙁 Waaah… help?

It was an all afternoon process to make this fun block!
First I auditioned and asked the group what fabrics to use! Changed my mind went back to my stash and found better colors! I’m going to use the daisy fabric for the sqares in the lay out design!
I chain piece all my corners!
HINT! Sew a second seam when sewing on the corner pieces! When you cut them apart you have a second set of HST all done to creat a fun block!
And where am I having my Summer Soirée? Why of course out on my front deck with my million dollar view!
I call my soirées drinking n dancing on the deck!
My fabric choices I hope captures the feel of my deck with all my flowers, the lattice and the pale yellow color of my home!
