PROJECT CLOSED TO NEW FABRIC: As of Aug 12 2024 I have all the state fabrics, some territories, and a few countries, thank you for being so generous! I love the fabrics and the wonderful notes and cards you have sent, big Hugs!
How the project started:
I was delighted that a few people sent me state fabrics, what fun!. I’ve collected a few state fabrics myself, but not many. So why not start! Being a world wide Quilt Community, it will be fun to create a quilt to celebrate all of us.
The page will track the state and country fabrics you have sent to me me. When I received all 50 states, I closed it for additional fabric. You have been most generous. Later in 2024 I’ll draft a pattern, then in 2025 I’ll make a quilt with pieces of each fabric sent.

The last state of Rhode Island and Mississippi came in!! So this project is closed to new fabric being sent. I have some from every state and a few others. If you have mailed it as of Aug 11, 2024 (or ordered it and waiting), that is totally fine. But if you have not mailed it yet, wait for me to do another topic to send things

- Can I send a piece of fabric for a state that is DIFFERENT than what you already have? I have plenty of fabric now (looking at you Pennsylvania!) so keep it for yourself. Thank you everyone for your generosity!
- How big a piece did you need? about a 10″ square
- Did you take city fabrics? I did!
- Where can I get ‘that’ fabric? These are almost all gifts. Most are no longer in print.
- You can check my Amazon link https://amzn.to/3zzV0N7 which might have some of what you want. Or put the state name and ‘quilt fabric’ in the search bar
- You can look at the Fat Quarter shop at this link https://shrsl.com/4lpi7 but also put the STATE into the search bar for a more specific search
- I also suggest you google for state fabrics you would like.
