Background on Block Wednesday

      • I design, write, create, and sew along with you USING a Bundle of Fabric, a background and then a border to finish it off.
      • My Wednesday sew alongs are a mystery filled with SIMPLE and FUN blocks. The block does not LOOK like what I'm talking about.
      • I make the block each week using the bundle, I don't know in advance what fabric goes where. My Free Wed sew alongs are not planned out in advance, I do them to be creative and have fun!  You can see all the prior ones HERE

  1. I have never done a sew along. We have a couple short trips/vacations planned during the time of this sew along. What happens if you are unavailable a couple of the weeks? This sounds fun!

  2. Love the fabrics you have chosen for this quilt…can’t wait to get started! Thanks Pat for your generosity to us quilters.

  3. I better get out my blues and whites. Looking forward to this. I have never participated in a sew along before. Thank you

  4. There’s always something to look forward to with Pat Sloan’s sew-alongs! Guess I’d better get to my sewing room gather some fabrics together! Can’t wait to see what you have in store for us, Pat!😀💖😀

  5. Sew excited! This will be my first quilt along I have actually been able to start from the beginning, provided the background fabric gets here in time! And I love, love, love blue and white for Christmas!

  6. I can’t wait to start sewing another quilt a long with you. I just love all of them. I need to get busy and figure out fabrics!!! Looking forward to Oct. 2.

  7. Loved the Main Street quilt-a-long. Excited to start Winter Fun. I love the Royal Blue fabrics!! Edyta spoke at our quilt guild in August — AMAZING trunk show — first ever standing ovation!! So now I’m even more excited to be working with her beautiful fabrics.

  8. I had just decided not to do another weekly sew-a-long and then I see “blue and “white.” How do you think Something Borrowed by Christopher Thompson would work for this quilt along?
I have learned so much from participating in your sew-alongs! Thanks for the inspiration.

  9. Ready Set Sew!!!! i enjoy your sew alongs so much, i usually go scrappy and use them as a gift for our family dirty santa game. and of course they are the most wanted item.

  10. I am still working on Main Street, but I am so incredibly excited to work on a winter quilt. I have always wanted to make one!

  11. This will be my 4th sew-along. I LOVE them. I guess I need to catch up with Main Street very quickly!
That blue fabric line is absolutely gorgeous!

  12. Looks like another good one! Thank you Pat. I still have 2 of your others to finish but it might not stop me from this one!

  13. I’m so excited! Pat is my favorite quilter and I have learned so much from her! I sing her praises everywhere I can. If someone hasn’t participated in one of her Wednesday mystery block sew alongs I highly recommend them.

  14. Wonderful, been thinking about a Christmas quilt, wasn’t sure what to do. This will be brilliant. Thank you Pat xx
