I have a niece that love peace signs. So I’m always on the look out for that image on fabric.

And when the Fat Quarter shop published this free pattern, Timber, I knew it was the right one!
I didn’t want the peace fabric all over the place, and this one I love the interlocking that happens.

The Peace Sign fabric is OLD.. and I’ve had it for years waiting until she graduated from college to use it. I bought a ton of it to be sure I had enough, maybe 8 yards.
To create the collection of fabrics to use I pulled out all my purple and green to use with solids and lights. Very controlled scrappy.

Pink Paw Design studio quilted it with an all over peace sign design
I LOVE it!

My goal was to use only the Peace sign fabric on the back and she LOVED it!!!
So thrilled she did, working in forestry she love green, purple is her favorite color and she wears a peace sign.
The Fat Quarter shop video will walk you through making the block
It’s squares and rectangle.. love that right?

I used the Peace sign for the binding too!
