So many gorgeous ‘A Flower Bouquet’ blocks last week!
Everything about working with flowers and gardens inspire me!
For Block #2 my theme are wonderful ‘Bulbs’. The workhorse of any garden! I have endless stories about flower bulbs. I tell you some in the pattern. My most recent story is that my neighbor was splitting her Iris bulbs and gifted me a whole bag full. A bulb is a never ending gift to someone.
I’d love to hear a story you have about flower bulbs. What is your favorite, or where have you seen amazing bulbs in bloom? Were you given bulbs by someone? Share when you post your block below and at my Facebook group!
THE DOWNLOAD is ALWAYS at the end of my article HIGHLIGHTED IN PINK, so keep reading
Video DETAILS
- This week I’m using more fabrics in the block to make the center interesting. I like having it more scrappy.
- I also made a mistake, yes I did!! I show you how to fix it in the video too, because I feel that it’s important for us to be able to fix an oops when they happen.
DIE CUT notes:
- Plaid & white I cut a 4″ x 18″ strip to use
- BUY a GEMINI

Man, I hate it when they update the computer. Just enough changes that everything takes longer to do – like resize my photos. I received birthday fat quarters from my quilting group that are perfect for this lovely quilt. Thanks for the flowers, Pat.
My Mom when l was younger grew a beautiful redish purple daliehas they were the size of a dinner plate when they bloomed. When she moved she dug them up brought them too her new home. They won blue ribbons at the fair . Her pride and Joy 😊
A few years ago my husband and I were able to tour the Keukenhof Gardens and I an still amazed at the variety of colour and shape of the bulbs and the beds. If you ever can go – GO.
When I try to download my finished block, I get an error message telling me that the photo is too big. How do I fix that?
Looks great. Thanks Pat
Love the block, and I love Bulb flowers.
Another cute one, Pat! I just wanted to say how easy it is to leave a comment but most importantly how EASY it is to find and download to save your SAL blocks. I have never had any problems… so, Thank You!
Loving this block!! It will go so well next to last weeks!!! Cant wait to get started… I bought from a school fundraiser mini daffodils and loved them. SO as they multiplied I dug some of the bulbs up and gave them to friends as fall gifts–a way to say good bye to summer but to plant them and welcome in Spring!!
Sew excited!!!!
