I want a room big enough to have my mid arm quilter and my sewing machines and fabric all handy, currently don’t have space for batting so I have to buy what i need as needed, this is very inconvenient.
I would like to magically complete all the started projects so I can start fresh—a cutting table would be nice—
I’m constantly reorganizing my space. It is very limited and shared with a wood heating stove in winter so bins and boxes are a necessity. I could really use a fold away cutting table as I go to my kitchen area right now to do that. I have a fold away design board and can’t do without it.
I would love to add a Simply Sixteen to my sewing room.
I wish I could have a whole room dedicated to sewing instead of just one wall of the bedroom. Oh, and a long arm machine and embroidery machine would be nice too.
Lots more Aurifil thread…every color in every weight….which I file by type in green lidded pencil boxes from Staples…the long ones (approx. 13″ x 5″ x 2 1/2″) on bookshelves from Ikea about 6 3/4″ deep (5 – 7 shelves), and 15″ wide and approx. 40″ tall. These can be put in any usable corner, or along a hallway…work for folded fabric too…bigger cuts half yard to several yards…folded like a book. Thread can have a simple label on front so you know immediately what kind of thread is in the box.
I would love Pat Sloan’s book on Triangles. I have reorganized my stash into projects. My goal is to reduce my stash so I have more room in my sewing space. I like a tidy space.
I need more space, not sure how that happens so quickly. I’ve turned my largest bedroom into my quilting room and still need another storage area.
If only I could push the walls out a little!
I would luv to add a new sewing/quilting/crafting room!
I would love to have a Koala sewing center! My machines are set up on tables and I would love to have something to keep the sewing supplies with the sewing machine!
I would love to have a bigger cutting table.
A new iron (one that doesn’t leak) and new bigger surface area ironing board.
I would love to add a design wall to my sewing space and some organization system for all my books and patterns.
Need more storage options.
WOW – Dreaming OK – We have a design for my “new sewing/quilt room” in mind and with what my husband does for life work he can make it come to fruition if money wasn’t an object/hiderance. Next would be a new machine as I am being told, I’m working hard on killing my Janome. So a Bernina or babylock – WOW what a dream!! Next would be a nice iron – WOW something that doesn’t leak water all the time. Something that does its job without “arguing” with me about it. (At least I feel like the iron and I have fights often) My final dream is some really nice fabric and I don’t mean the $1/yard kind, sheets, etc for fabric. White fabric that is truly white and not see through, red that is red and not really a red/yellow effect. Some basic colors would be grand! OK – I dreamed – Back to life now.
I’d love a design wall
I’d love to find some way to keep my foot pedal from moving around. I think I’ve tried everything except glue.
I need to de-clutter & toss what I am not using to clear floor space for a new dedicated sewing table for my Bernina. This will also allow for me to set up a permanent Ironing station. Re-aligning what I have that I do use will clear the path.
I would like to add a medium size (about like yours) ironing board. I have a large one and my husband made a new larger top for it to press the completed tops, a small table top one and several little ironing pads I can just lay on my Kola cabinet beside the sewing machine.
Marsha – I would love to have a design wall in my sewing room. I too am making an effort to organize and found I had no clue what to do…anyway I have figured it out now, I think. 🙂 Thankyou.
I would love to have a beautiful inventory of fat quarters. I love to do applique and fat quarters are a great size for applique.
I want to add a few more tools, such as Bloc loc rulers, wool pressing mat. I also have some new thread and Heat n Bond on my list!
A new room would be great but I’d take more storage space too!
Fabric always, and also a FMQ ruler.
