Organized Studio Space tour, DAY 3 of 3 giveaway!

I did a Facebook LIVE on Saturday morning to share my space… come take a look then enter Giveaway #3 at the end.

It was so much fun to flip on Facebook Live for an impromptu walk through my studio

I did not do the captions at Facebook because I have to manually edit them. It’s translator is not very good, and this one was too long for me to go through and rewrite it.
Instead I put it up at Youtube and you can select their closed caption which is better at translating

  1. Currently sewing a Christmas diamond quilt, wool applique sewing-themed wall hanging and pincushions, and a mystery quilt from my quilt guild.

  2. I love the idea of a rolling cart. I have 2 rolling shelves so the cart probably should have come before the shelves!

  3. I have finally started my double wedding ring quilt in Batiks. Good thing it is not for a girl, it’s for our bed, because this will take along time! Wish me luck.

  4. Hi Pat: I loved your studio tour. The red and white oriental lanturn quilt that you have hanging over your fireplace, I have also done. I took a first place at the county fair with it. I hand quilted mine. Yours is beautiful. I am currently working on several quilts, one, a batik sampler block, another one is on the longarm, ready to be quilted, and the last one is a wedding quilt for my daughter, who is going to be married this November. Thanks for doing the giveaway.

  5. I’m doing mine as well; start in an area where you need to see a change or where your fabric is located so you can find it. What part makes you most exhausted just looking at it? Start there perhaps. Are you able to create in your area? If not, re-gain your area so you can re-create again.
    Good luck

  6. Wish I could say just one thing but that’s NOT the case. I am currently working on a KING size quilt called by Studio 180 Michelle Renee Hiatt pattern. I’m at a Quilter’s retreat with other women from around the US quilting on the lake and quilting all hours of the day & night.
I’m also working on the Sampler 2 blocks. I’m also making a couple of other quilts that are in various stages of needing binding.
Way too many projects going on while I’m trying to design & finish my sewing studio.
How do we do it all

  7. I am currently working on a quilt for my daughter, one for our cabin, and another throw for fun. All are ready to baste and quilt.

  8. Trying to get 2 Quilt In Summertime quilts done,2 Let’s Go Camping caught up,have a small table runner ready to quilt and a scrappy nine patch Civil War quilt a but together…and Oh the ideas in my head and in my stash.

  9. I am making a Flower Dance by Smith designs, also a Christmas Quilt Plain embroidered blocks by Stitch delight, with the expectation to start and catch up on Uour Christmas Delight by the third week of Ivtober!

  10. I am currently in the middle of 3 projects: a Hugs and Kisses quilt that I will be donating, sewing pockets and numbers on bags our church will use, and a free motion challenge quilt. I think I’m usually in the middle of more than one project! LOL.

  11. project?? Projects – a baby quilt, Merry and Bright, a Halloween quilt, and I look at every splendid sampler post to plan that!!

  12. My project that I am working on is a applique quilt. I have now been working on this now for nine months. Been a challenging project but rewarding at the same time!

  13. I loved the tour you did a great job of keeping it interesting, now you can do mine because you have got it down. And maybe you can find my vacation quilt blocks.

  14. I’m sewing The Sweet Life charm packs into a Half Square Triangle quilt, or as some say, a Half Triangle Square quilt. Haven’t decided for sure on the layout, but I have probably half of the triangles squares made. I’m looking at some ideas for layouts, such as 9 (or 4) of the same color combinations together, or arranging them in color groups diagonally, or in a Trip Around the World style, or just using one of each of the dark colors in a specific order. Then there’s the totally random or somewhat random…I wish I had a design wall. I just needed some fun easy sewing to get back into piecing blocks, again.

  15. I am currently working on at least 3 quilts in progress. One I need to finish the binding on. The 2nd needs the block sewn together and then the borders. The last is a BOM that I am several blocks behind. No more time to leave a message – I need to get busy sewing!

  16. I am currently working on several projects. A quilt for my nephew, and a few see along I am doing. A little on each one each day

  17. I’m currently working on quilting small projects (runners, pillow covers, table toppers) that have been waiting for 1 or more years!! And when I need a break from quilting or binding, I sew a few blocks from the Row by Row to see if I can get that finished before the end of October!

  18. I am currently working on a queen size bed quilt for our bed and also on a quilt that will be used in a tiny village occupied by homeless veterans. They have to stay for 2 years so the quilt will go with them.

  19. I am currently hand-quilting a 20+ y.o. UFO that was packed away after our apt fire. Also, I’m working on your Let’s Go Camping BOM (my 1st BOM), Merry & Bright Mystery Sew Along (my 1st Sew Along) in Christmas & Halloween themes, and the blue & cream version of Christmas Figs.

  20. Do we ever just have ONE project on the go??? I’ve got several in various stages on the table at the moment. Trying to keep up with The Splendid Sampler 2, making a Lily paper pieced quilt for my daughter in law, 4 appliqued and embroidered wall-hangings for my sewing room this time (usually I gift most everything away) they are awaiting quilting. Meanwhile I’m down and out with the flu as well as several fractures from 2 falls in 2 weeks… so I’m restricted to hand sewing for a bit. I feel the Lord needs me to take a season of rest for a bit. Happy sewing everyone!!!

  21. I am making table runners for various Holidays and I am starting a quilt for a new Great-Grandaughter due in January and various UFO’s need to be finished!

  22. I am working on 3 project, On Ringo Lake – Bonnie Hunter, a UFO project for about 15 years as my hand sewing project- Angel BOM, 3 more blocks to finish, and a leader and ender 4 square project.

  23. Wow! What am I sewing? 1. I am working on “in the summertime’ from Pat Sloan – I am making it 30 blocks rather than 20. 2. I am working on ‘Christmas Mouse’ by Bunny Hill, 3. I am getting ready to quilt sandwich a Christmas Quilt from last year, 4. I am slowly cutting pieces to a owl quilt.

  24. I will be doing pillowcases. I bought the main fabric now to find the other pieces to complete the pillowcases. After that a collage pattern is waiting.

  25. Just finished a quilt with a loon panel that I made for a gift to a special person in the family. Now am working on a Christmas quilt for my son and his girlfriend. The fabric has kittens/puppies – perfect for them as they are starting a cat sitting business! It is amazing how fast it is growing!

  26. The sparkler quilt…I am putting the binding on and then I am going to work on the designer mystery blocks and also a butterfly quilt.

  27. I am currently working on a baby quilt. I am at my trailer and supposedly cleaning it so I can close up for the season. But babies have arrived and my sewing machine was in the repair shop. It still is not working 100% but if I keep the speed stitch at slow I do not get bird nests. The rolling cart would come in handy here at the trailer. It would be nice to keep my supplies together in one place.

  28. Well not really working on anything right now. Packing up our RV to spend the Winter in a warmer climate. So, going through all my projects trying to see how many to take. Of course I’m taking too many, but the husband says better too many than not enough.

  29. I am currently working on a pinwheel strip quilt – 2 strips sewn together, then cut into triangles and resewn into pinwheels.

  30. I got at a retreat a year ago a door prize of precut paper hexagons and a small booklet with a couple of patterns to make a pillow, tote bag and a drawstring bag. You make the item and embellish with the hexagons. I will be making the draw string bag. Its cut out and I made the hexagons that is a far as I got!

  31. I just finished a quilt top for my sister and am trimming the threads on the back of it. I am also working on Splendid Sampler 2 and a BoM.

  32. I am working on wheelchair lap throw and a Christmas tree wall hanging.
I am trying to finish up my UFOs before the end of the year!

  33. So excited about organizing….forgot to add I am working on piecing one of Tula Pink’s patterns, Peaks and Valleys, using her Spirit Animal fabric, which was chosen by my granddaughter. I Told her it may be Christmas gift as so far, it is whipping me!!! Lol.

  34. I’m thinking I need one of the rolling carts like you have to keep all pieces of a project together while working on it! I love the way you have your projects grouped together, so when you are ready to work on it, you don’t have to look for everything. This is something lacking in my sewing area that would really be beneficial to me. Going to take a few days and pull out, then organize and put back. I know you are experiencing a sense of accomplishment now. Will check in later to let you know my progress!!! Thanks for the motivation and inspiration to get organized!!!

  35. Currently I am working on a “card trick” quilt for my daughter. It has been really fun to make. It came out easier than I thought it would.

  36. I have one of Laura Heine’s Projects that I am doing for my granddaughter, using some of her dance costumes in the collage.
