There are so many blessings to be thankful for in 2024. Having more time to spend with family especially my granddaughter after retirement was the highlight of my year. And of course more sewing time! Thanks for all you do to keep us quilters inspired!

  1. Finished all of my quilts. Had to have surgery on both eyes. Had some complications could not see for a while. Doing better, my sight is getter stronger. Have to do a lot of bed rest. The one thing I can say I am blessed. Want to do lots and lots of quilts for 2025.

  2. My 2024 wasn’t a very busy one, but I am excited about finishing 20 UFOs! Tops that have been sitting for years. DONE!
Now I am ready fir this kit!

  3. One of my 2024 highlights was dropping 75 lbs to reach my goal weight, it wasn’t easy but now that I’ve done it, I don’t know why I waited so long because I feel so much healthier!

  4. We were very happy to have our son move near us in Illinois from Washington state. We also had the whole family for Thanksgiving. Was able to make some flimsy but not yet quilted. Gotta do better 2025!

  5. My special memory of 2024 is our 40th Wedding Anniversary! We celebrated with wonderful gifts and special songs, drawings and love given by our daughter and grandchildren, her whole family too. It was a special day. I love the color red and red is 40th’s color. I need to make a red quilt for sure! I might start off with a runner from your book I ordered. I seem to be SLOW in finishing them, so a runner may be a good starting place!

  6. 2024…We celebrated our 51st anniversary in Quebec! Stay at the beautiful ChateauFrontenac. Spent four lovely days exploring this beautiful city.

  7. My most favourite and heartfelt moment for 2024 was gifting a quilt to my amazing brother and his equally amazing wife for Christmas. It was only my second quilt to be gifted (hopefully more to come) and they were unaware it was going to arrive. Their utter joy at receiving it and their understanding that it was a labour of love, filled my heart to bursting. I actually cried! What a true blessing it has been for me to discover quilting and the quilting community.
P.S. Just wanted to say thank you for sharing your life and love of quilting with all of us. Also, jI wanted to let you know, that no matter where my husband is in the house, when I whatch your video’s and you say “hello, my friend”, my husband yells out “hello Pat” right back – makes me chuckle every time.

  8. The best thing about 2024 was the little things: lighting a candle when it was dark outside, sitting on the balkony a warm summer evning drinking a cup of coffe, starting a new hobby ( cross stitching), sewing a quilt with beautiful Tilda-fabrics, …

  9. One of the wonderful things that happened in 2024 is the birth of my third grandson. Jordan was born in August 2024 and he is one of the happiest babies I’ve ever encountered. My quilting is currently at a standstill but I would love to win the Flower Shop Quilt Kit. What better way to kickstart 2025? Thank you and Happy New Year! 🙂

  10. 2024 was a hard year for me, I lost both my mom & dad four and a half months apart….
I have an autistic granddaughter. She is the light of my life. When we found out she was autistic my parents being the loving souls they were, made it a family goal she receive the best therapy
My mom would tell us she couldn’t leave us to be with our savior until she heard our baby girl say her name. She said God would not take her until she heard our baby girl. He knew she needed to hear that precious little voice say her name.
Eight days prior to my mom leaving us, my granddaughter started saying my mom‘s name,
you couldn’t have given my mom and dad the world and made them any happier. Mom and dad both praised His name and sang His praises with such joy hearing my granddaughters sweet little voice saying my mom‘s name. What a blessing.
    ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

  11. My brother is no longer in stage 4 kidney failure (miracles do happen) and after 40 some odd years of quilting I finally joined a Quilt Guild and also a Quilt Bee! It was a good 2024 and praying for a good 2025!

  12. Many things to be thankful for in 2024, but mostly my wonderful family. Was able to devote more time to my quilting and cross stitch projects.

  13. I didn’t get to complete a quilt but did make practice blocks and some pot holders.my goal for 2025 is to finish flimsy that I started years ago. And to have 3 new quilt tops going. I also have patch work stuffed animals made to hand out for next Christmas.

  14. My third grandchild was born in 2024 on my husbands birthday. I was able to be at the birth. Such a great experience!

  15. I was able to go on two retreats in 2024 with my great group of gals to a beautiful location in Colorado

  16. Hi Pat!
The best part of 2024 was the time spent with family. I brought my 8 year old granddaughter to Palm Springs with me to visit my parents and we had an amazing time together. I also made a career change last year which has been a breath of fresh air.
I love watching your videos and quilting along with you and all your friends on YouTube 🙂. Looking forward to more quilting fun in 2025.

  17. My one dream in my sewing hobby was to own a white featherweight and my precious husband made that happen in November when he drove me to pick up an early Christmas present,a white featherweight I named Salome after my German grandmother.

  18. 2024 was a wonderful year and I’m so grateful to have my family nearby! Thank you Pat for all you do! Brenda m

  19. 2024 was memorable with starting with a winter trip to a warm destination, then a summer spent with family & continuing with my quilting journey, specifically building the skills to quilt my own quilt tops.

  20. Well , my husband passed away this year and my quilting has given me a way to use my time in a pleasant way instead of thinking sad things .. I teach quilting 2 days a week and those quilty ladies have gotten me through this year. Always looking for fun quilts for my ladies and this one looks like a fun one

  21. Hi Pat, I watch you all the time and I decided to enter this giveaway. I didn’t wait til the last minute but… almost.
So, in 2024 I went to Greece with my son Christopher and his girlfriend and daughter. My Granddaughter. I was going to be able to visit and see Greece for over two weeks. We were on our way to the Acropolis in the early morning. The ground was wet, cool temperatures, and a gradual descent. It was our 5th day.
Well, I slipped, fell really hard, broke my ankle in 2 places. My next stop was the hospital, I went to two. The last one was a Greece/American hospital. I stayed in the hospital for a week, had to have surgery, and then onto the US. It was an experience of a lifetime! One I wish not to repeat but definitely will not forget about it.
I’m currently making memory quilts for a client, most of my quilts go to Foster kids. I love to quilt and my mom is the one who got me started. My mom loved you and watched you every day. Many hugs to you!❤️

  22. Thank you, Pat, for all you do for us quilters!! You are amazing teacher! And thanks so much for offering kits and freebies!!! Bless you

  23. I was able to spend time with most of my siblings in January and February as we helped our mom take care of my dad before he passed in March. Very sweet time of reconnecting with my siblings as adults.

  24. In 2024 my 3 grown daughters 50, 48, 45, my husband and I took our first vacation together since they have left the nest! The Fab 5 of us went on a cruise together. Loved it so much doing it again in 2026!

  25. I am going to be a Great Grandma this year…found out right be for Christmas…so excited and am now finally feeling better after have back surgery last year all and all looking so forward to 2025…Loving all the quilt alongs this year too..

  26. Happy for my family. Blessed to have my parents who are 88 & 89 and still the head of the family. My grandkids keep me young and happy. All have received a quilt from me!

  27. My 2024 was actually quite good. We had no major health issues and no major problems to contend with. My daughter and I got into a quilting groove that seems to work for us…I love to piece and she found she really likes the quilting process. Thank you for all you do. You and your followers have given us so much inspiration and learnings. Looking forward to what we all can do in 2025.

  28. This year was a slow finish year for quilts…. Not that I don’t have a few to finish but seems like life kept getting in the way. I found out it was okay not to have a stack of finished quilts and I actually made room in my life for more family time. Well it’s 2025 and I really do need to finish some plus start one I should have last year, new great grand. I think the biggest thing I learned is for me not doing something I love might be a sign that something is amiss – I ended 2024 with several days in hospital. After getting treated and back home some of that energy I had lost is slowly coming back and I am ready to start back up. I have learned not to ignore me.

  29. Went to the beach with our daughter, son-in-law and three grandkids. Also got to make a trip to Alaska to see our son, daughter-in-law and grandson. So thankful to be able to go on trips and visit family. Thanks for the chance to win! Fabulous giveaway!

  30. I finally got motivated to use my longarm quilting machine to complete 10 quilts. The unquilted quilts just seem to keep piling up! Thank you for your fabulous videos. I look forward to them.

  31. My 2024 was more about organization. 2025 has proven to be successful, so far. I’m cutting leftover fabric into 4” and 5” blocks. I’m thankful for my stash that started over 30 years ago. I’m working my way through it. Plan to start Grandma’s Kitchen with fabric I already have. Love watching your videos.

  32. The sew alongs were wonderful in 2024, I still have some to finish, but can wait to see what sew alongs will bring for 2025!

  33. Got to make my very first grandchild a quilt. Was born October 2024! Getting ready to retire after 25 years if teaching! Would love to start retirement with this beautiful quilt!

  34. I truly have a lot to be grateful for especially family. The highlight of 2024 is connecting with other quilters whether through YouTube, Facebook, Instagram or chats. They all offer so much insight into quilting with so much knowledge and experience.
It’s nice to have that information to reference.

  35. The best thing about 2024 was a road trip through part of New Mexico with my husband, and spending time with our kids and grandkids.

  36. The best thing that happened this year was my daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter flew home from Italy to be here to give support to her sister whose husband had passed away. It had been three years since we had seen them.

  37. The most wonderful thing to happen is actually two things only because I have two sons and they both got engaged in 2024. I’m over the moon because our family will be growing soon.

  38. My daughter took me on two great trips and we visited a lot of quilt shops. Such a fun time. Also got a new RED Janome.

  39. I finished and had my first ever queen size bed quilt quilted. It is on our bed and is so warm and cozy. I finished lots of quilted gifts in 2024 and look forward to creating more in 2025!

  40. Something that was wonderful about 2024:
I was going to say meeting you Pat Sloan but that was in 2023. I can’t believe it’s been that long already. This year in 2024 my husband got to retire and he bought me a Featherweight!

  41. I am a multi decade quilter and have started and finished lots of quilts and given to family and friends through all these years. My main 2024 memory will be gaining a canine companion (rescue both for him and for me) in the spring of 2024. Forever grateful for all the blessings that have come to me in my life. I have so many projects completed over the years from watching and learning from Pat Sloan. So appreciate all the tutorials and quilt projects she has gifted us all these years. Thank you, Thank you!!!

  42. I enjoy watching your videos and get so much from them from your sense of humor to you tips and tricks please keep it up. many good stitches for the new year.

  43. First of all Happy New Year! Spent a lot of time quilting. Sent at least 10 to the spa in 2025 quess
What I will be doing. Try my hand on machine binding. For 2025 looking forward to challenging my self to new quilting
Adventures. Thanks Pat for showing me the way.

  44. 2024 was a very productive year for me. I completed quilts for all 4 of my granddaughters. Also, I started introducing my oldest granddaughter to hand embroidery. We work on a project every other week with the goal of completing enough blocks to make her a quilt when she graduates from high school. And, I completed a quilt for my sister. I have lots of quilt tops that I hope to get quilted this year.

  45. 2024 was a wonderful year for me and my family, we welcome our second granddaughter, Victoria Grace, she is Jane’s little sister.
