  1. I love tote bags I’ve picked up at different shows. They not only hold my stuff, but have memories attached as well.

  2. i have made a couple of purses that were embroidery patterns from Nancy Zieman. Those are my favorite bags. I always get compliments on them.

  3. Hugs to you and your mom Pat. I discovered great bags at a local quilt shop. I don’t recall the brand (I’m currently sitting outside my house) but they come in three sizes and have heavy duty vinyl fronts.

  4. My favorite one is the first one I made as a beginner… it’s old and is not in a good condition to wear anymore, but it has a place in my sewing room and keeps some of my sewing supplies.
My best wishes for you and your family.

  5. Hi Pat. I love any bag that helps me stay organized. The mesh bags are great for organizing my various quilt projects.
You and your family are in my thoughts. Take care.

  6. My current favorite project bag is from FQS; it’s mesh with blue flowers and green leaves and I think it might be a Lori Holt design. Blue is my favorite color.

  7. My favorite bag is one my husband received at an educational seminar. It’s about 24” x 36” x 5” wide. It’s made of heavy duty plastic which keeps everything dry. I’ve used it for just about everything from camping, sewing, traveling to water aerobics, and everything in between.
Pat, I hope you and your family feel you can take all the time you need to keep your mom comfortable. This is a rough season to go through. My 2 sisters and I went through it and my hubby and his just did, too. Take your time, we aren’t going anywhere, we just all wish you well . Those of us who have gone through it understand all too well what your life is like right now. Take deep breaths, and don’t forget to take care of you and Greg, too! The caretakers get overlooked, please take time to walk, get your coffees, and kiss your big guy! 🩷

  8. I love the mesh bags. My cross stitch friend personalized mine with a quilt block. I love the texture and sturdiness of the bags. They are breathable.

  9. Hello Pat,
Thank you for the video this morning explaining what has been going on, I am sure exhausted and tired are not the same I think exhausted is when you have passed being tired and with all you have on your plate right now you are probably exhausted X2. LOL
I love mesh bags because when you put a project in them they get some air and don’t become musty smelling. I do love the new mesh bag from FQS such a pretty color.
Hope you have a fabulous day and enjoy the time with you mom.
By the way I do love your videos I have been watching older ones during this time and am enjoying them.
Thank you for your time and knowledge.
    Jackie

  10. I like the mesh bags. But in all fairness, I simply like bags of all kinds and will find a use for them all.

  11. I am Fond of the mesh zip bags because you can embroidery on the which is fun.
Once you get everything settled, enjoy every moment you have with your Mom. She will be happy to have the time with you.

  12. My favorite project bags are the ones with a clear vinyl window, easier to know what’s in them.

  13. I love the Stitch Love Maker Bucket that I bought from Fat Quarter Shop! It’s a perfect size for my cross stitch projects.

  14. My favorite bag is a By Annie pattern. It was pretty challenging but I love how it turned out! I hope your days get easier.

  15. My are the ones purchased on vacation to remember time spent with Family.
Prayers for you and your Mom.

  16. I love a bag I made from a By Annie pattern. It was pretty challenging but I was so happy with how it turned out!! I hope your days get easier soon!

  17. I love any bag that holds quilting, sewing or craft supplies. Praying for your family, been there done that and it’s not easy. Love everything you do on your You Tube channel.

  18. I started making bags last year with scraps, and i loved it..Made many since, ofall different shapes and sizes.

  19. I love the mesh bags I’ve gotten from the FQS. They are perfect for projects and the little things for when I travel, which isn’t often these days.

  20. I think our moms are near the same age and it IS hard to be the one helping them with their needs. Mom also has A-fib and often has that fluttery heart thing going on. You are an awesome daughter! With God’s help we can cope with the daily, ever changing things that come up. I don’t know that I have a favorite bag really. I have just a few (some are those canvas totes from the craft store) but would love to try out the mesh ones. Thanks and also thank you Kimberly.

  21. My favorite bags are those made with patterns from By Annie! Thinking of you and your family…

  22. I like to make cloth bags for carrying stuff to and from the car. I also love the mesh bags. I used them for cross stitch projects. Actually, I love all bags!

  23. I love all kinds of bags, the mesh ones to keep collections or projects separate but my favorite ones are the reusable patterned pretty bags that I use to transport groceries, take things in my car, vacation etc. They fold up so nicely and are pretty and so useful!

  24. My favorite bags have to have pockets and a zipper!
Yes, I have been through this. Thinking of you. Your words, “the new normal” is exactly right.

  25. I do not have a favorite bag. For projects everything goes in a tote, but have been thinking a project bag or pouch might take up less space and should give them a try. Thinking of you and hopefully things will settle down and give you a comfortable routine over the next few weeks.

  26. My favourite bags are Tote Bags. I have 2 at the moments one from Rhodes when we went to on holiday and I use it for work and the other was from the Quilt Festival here in Birmingham UK. I brought that one last year when I went and used it again this year. ( I was going to buy a new one but they haven’t changed them so..).

  27. My favorite bag was my mom’s carpet bag. It was my grandmother’s first so it is lovely and really old. I also have lots of new, hand made bags. Can’t have enough bags. Love to your Mom. She is so fortunately to have you.

  28. Lately I have become drawn to various size bags to use for making “project kits”. I love quilting and while I’m learning to improve the basic techniques, I am drawn to sampler quilts as a way to try to improve by stitching. I have also decided that I want to learn hand embroidery as well. I like having the kits because I often watch television after dinner and it’s easy to grab a bag and do some stitching while relaxing before bedtime.
My prayers are with you as you spend time caring for your mother during this sometimes difficult, but precious time.

  29. I am currently using a tote bag for my cross-stitch project, but it’s too big. I’d love to have a cute mesh bag! Praying for you and your family in this time of transition. All will come right eventually! I know what you are going through from personal experience. To me exhaustion is a deeper level of tired.

  30. I like the mesh bags, I also have some clear vinyl ones that I like! It’s helpful to see what’s inside.
Take care Pat, I’ve been there. You’re a wonderful daughter.

  31. My favorite bag is the one Kim Diehl cross stitched with the chicken on the front. Unfortunately it is hers and not mine, maybe someday I will stitch one up of my own.

  32. Please delete my previous reply which shows my email address by mistake!
I love the give away as I don’t have any project bags but would love to try them!

  33. I liked bags (totes and purses) made with the Moda candy…I most usually purchase them on FQS when they have them on their flash sales 🙂

  34. I like tote bags that I can use to hold a couple of smaller bags with projects in them. I do this when on road trips. At home I’m more likely to use project boxes. Take care and cut yourself some slack during this season of life! Family first!

  35. I love all types and sizes of bags. My family call me the bag lady. For quilting I use the large clear bags, they are easy to see through and easy to store. My mesh bags I use for taking projects to me quilting group.

  36. Project Bags of all sizes. I’ve taken leftover squares from my ‘parts box’ and made these bags with vinyl fronts to store projects I’m working on. Great way of using leftovers and once again reminding me of past quilts.

  37. I love ALL project bags. The mesh bags I use for my cross stitching. They easily fit all needed items and a project board to hold the extra threads. The large zippered project bags hold completed squares. Thanks for the update Pat, and I wish you and your family all the best!

  38. I purchased a tote bag at a street market in Melbourne Australia 15 years ago for about $10 while on vacation. (Im Canadian). It is just a canvas shopping bag style with Aboriginal style designs on it but the size, and sturdiness are perfect.

  39. My favorite bags are several that a friend/co-worker made for me. Of all of them, the one with cats and books is the best!! I also had a thing for the bags from JoAnn’s. I had to get one almost every time I went. I used them as gift bags and project bags. I need to work on emptying those project bags out for new projects. But it’s another thing I miss about JoAnn’s! Pat, bless you and your family during this season of your life. Cherish every moment! <3

  40. My favorite bags are the large sturdy totes that are versatile. I like to be able to carry everything in one go-from my classroom to the car, from the house to the crafting room, etc

  41. My favorite bags are the seasonal goodwill bags, they are big, and strong. I usually use them to move a bunch of stuff when organizing.

  42. My absolute favorite bag is one that has a picture of my granddaughter on it. However, for my quilting projects, you just can’t beat those handy mesh bags.

  43. I like the mesh bags, too. I pick a color that co-ordinates with my project. Take care, Pat. Hugs to you, your Mom, and Greg, too!
